Slieve Donard sunrise? | Hiking and Trekking | Mourne Mountains | GoPro
The first hike of 2024 didn’t start as planned. As we set off from home aiming to tackle Slieve Lamagan for sunrise, we reached the Carrick Little car park but all where grid locked, back into the cars and plan B was activated. Could we make the highest point in Northern Ireland for sunrises from Bloody Bridge?
A lot of pressure was on todays team as Sherpa Stephen had taken the weekend off, but no bother to Joe, Neil and myself as we took on Slieve Donard.

Cheers mate. Yea it was a chilly one at the summit, you do get some cracking views up there like you say. We didn’t stick around that long to be honest at the top. 👍
I do love the way the cloud moves across the mountain tops.

I love hiking up to donard that way from bloody bridge. Probably a better way to go than from donard car park nice video 👍 class views. Love that it's kind of summery down below then wintery white up on the summit.

Yea definitely Adrian, it’s far better that side and always seems to be less people on it. Honestly like you say in the sun it was lovely and a nice heat but on the summit it felt every bit of winter. Cheers for watching mate and commenting 👍
