You have a cool invention that costs about $3 to $5 to make. You're selling it for $80 - against a slew of products that cost less than $20. You have no chance my friend - except to a select few dummies that don't know the value of money! Just speakin' the truth my friend for all to see! Why don't you sell it for $20 and garner thousands of more sales like an intelligent businessman??

I was getting ready to look into these and order one until I read this response. I would never buy one now, knowing you're such a douche bag. Maybe hire a PR person to come in and help save you. SMH

Cheapest one of these I can find costs $120 each on Reverb - ouch! This takes them to about 6 times the price of a normal slide. You’ve got to spend a lot to see if you even like them - knocked me out of the game.

You replied by saying "If you want a free tube slide, check any construction site. They are everywhere. For free. Slidewinderring is the FERRARI of slide inventions .If you disagree, scrap plumbing, is free." I don't think that was a very measured response to my rather complimentary comment. I also noticed you used the same (or similar) reply to others here who expressed the same opinion. I'm not a businessman, but insulting RJ's subscribers and viewers when he is endorsing your product can't be good for business.

I’m thinking that making one shouldn’t be TOO difficult. Borrow your neighbor’s metal grinder and your friend’s tig welder. I’m sure a magnet and a ring to weld it to won’t cost more than $10.

i bought this ring cause of this video and i´m very happy with it. And all the complainers to the price, yes it´s a bit expensive, but the design, functionality and the idea is outstanding and unique!! And btw, i´m from Austria and the shipping costs where almost € 60, that´ really expansive compared to the ring price it self, and how many of you guy´s in this comment section, have bought overpriced stuff with an apple on it? ;-)

Wow, starting price is $80 or more for one of these little rings!! Reverb price $120. That's too bad - I was hoping to try one of these out after watching this well-done review. Never mind! Build cost likely less than $5 each - sheesh.

RJ I have mild Cerberal palsy which can affect my fine motor skills. I learning to play 6 string lapsteel - Asher electro Hawaiian jr. I have difficulty using a traditional tone bar. Do you think this could be used in its place? Thanks

Alex Calder, the inventor, got back to me and confirmed the right-handed ring is for right-handed players. The ring is worn on your left hand.

Website is confusing. There is a pull down box with default "Right handed". You can set this to left handed as well. Most of us are right handed and would be actually putting this on our left hand. So I don't want to order one [right handed] and get the one thats designed for a left handed guitarist to fit on my right hand ???

Reminds me when Darrell Braun showed a cool nut-locking device for use with a tremolo guitar that everybody thought was going to be about $30 and then everyone that later figured out it was like $160 and just said forget it!!

Love the product... deeply dislike the esthetics of the thing... never’d wear something like that in my fingers, not for a minute even if is just to play... how about something without the ethnic-ish spiral? To consider. Other than that, cool stuff functionality wise.
