Hi, I wanted you to know you were one of my favorite guitarist. I’ve been watching you for sometime I’ve been playing for years myself and discovered this ring not long ago. Truly love it and have used it a lot more for vibrato and expression then slide lol I dropped my glass slide and couldn’t find the mudslide and ended up buying this, and truly could not be more pleased. This is a great product demo. Thank you for showing additional licks. I am always looking for new ideas, simple or complicated lol, New sounds never hurt anyone. Thanks again for all the great work on your channel. I truly enjoy it the lessons everything if you could continue to be as expressive and as detailed in your communication, I would sincerely appreciate it along with all of my students as I am a guitar teacher, myself, and what I mean is that Most of my students are totally blind I work with disabled students, and when you’re describing the fretboard, none of these students nor I however I’m a Berkeley graduate and no music but they cannot read tabs. I can pick out what you’re doing by ear so again thank you and it is so important to speak out each note and where you’re putting your finger I only want everyone to take advantage of what you’re doing and learn the expressiveness and be able to fully take advantage of all the KZread videos. You can be a leader in this you’re one of the few that describes exactly what you’re doing. Please continue those details and more and more if you can we really appreciate it especially when you’re demoing petals Amplifiers being more clear about the description I’m not going to lie. I enjoy it myself when someone visually explains it to me there’s not much I haven’t seen or played but truly I just want life to be better for my students. I think one thing that you encourage is not spending a lot of money, but buying the right gear practicing effectively And that’s what I want my students to learn thank you again for reinforcing good habits, and being a great guitarist and a hero for my kids all of them 80 of them lol 11:42

I would have personally been lost with this device without this great tutorial. Clarity for the kindergarten level slideplayer. Now I just need practice and thyme--to spice up my playing. Thanks and Stay Well Groovy One!

Very cool idea. Years ago, I thought about trying to make a “slide ring” out of an old chrome slide. I decided it would still hamper my ability to form power chords, so I never did it. It didn’t dawn on me, though, to position it in the middle of the middle finger. Brilliant idea! This also appears to have some flexibility around your finger, which is a great idea, too. I might need to get one of these. Thanks.

The best thing about the slide ring is the extra weight that allows you to just rest your finger in the strings and do the slide. And that is wide enough for double stop slides, but narrow enough so that you can still make chords and pick, using you first and third finger. GREAT PRODUCT!!! I love mine!

This is a GREAT slide lesson. I learned all these muting techniques from Kenny Aaronson (superstar bass player) who played slide in some his early bands but I have never seen anyone else explain it in such detail, especially online. Love those licks especially the last one. It reminds me of the piano solo in "Go Now" by the Moody Blues.

Years ago my Gram gave me her solid Hawaiian bar slide so I learned slide by putting my guitar on my lap and holding the bar as if playing lap steel. Now I'm going to have to try a Black Mountain slide as the extra weight might be helpful making the transition to regular slide playing. Thanks!

Man, I love this video. Not only is the instructional part of this video great, but the demo also allows one to see the potential of this product. As a blues player myself, I look for ways to improve and advance my playing, so this definitely goes a long way! I think I need to sub to this channel!

Great teaching video as always from m R.J. Similar slides exist if i'm not mistaken however this one seems more flexible. I personally prefer the richer and fuller sound of a full size slide.

I find that slides have to be placed slightly above (higher up the neck) relative to the target fret. This is necessary for accurate intonation. The higher up the neck, the greater the need. For example a high G has to be placed well above the fifteenth fret in order to sound true.

Hey! Thanks for the vid. I think it would be awesome to see a book of blues standards tabbed for the BM Slide Ring specifically in standard tuning. Any hope for something like that in your soup pot?

would love to hear a breakdown of effects you use for your tone. I'm thinking maybe a compressor, some reverb and an OD? or is it just some crunch on your amp?

Just got one for Christmas, it’s horribly heavy as far as confusing your muscle memory when you play chords. It’s also not comfortable in my opinion touches the freds easily due to heaviness of it. That is my opinion.

I have to watch another video man as your tone is set up like a new and it's muddy and sloppy. Try the Joe Perry short slide, it's like butter this one subs like a plastic mess, but that could just be the terrible pickup on that thing your playing.
