theyre still out there it's just not what's trendy now. I had a discussion with a label last year and they literally told me the wouldnt sign me because of the songs I shopped to them was "too complex" and "nobody wants to hear a song about racism in america or uplifting black people" they want under 3 minutes repetitive songs that can play in the clubs or go viral on tiktok with. THE ESSENCE OF HIP HOP HAS NEVER DIED WE JUST LET OUTSIDERS CONTROL WHAT'S THE DEFINITION THATS THE PROBLEM.

Until he literally stopped writing and started freestyling his verses. The reason you know it's Marvin is because he "Coos" with Ooohoos and Whooos just like Marvin Gaye does on LETS GET IT ON,and many other tracks on I Want You Album. Pretty much Marvin Gaye's Trademark. Also when Curtis sings with his natural voice it sounds nothing like this. Check out" Move on Up." When Curtis sings falsetto it's sometimes Marvinesque.
