You nailed motivation issues at the end. I have found that when I hit that slump, I look at what I have going and make sure I have all the side projects completed. Finishing a task gives me satisfaction and allows me to focus on the next project. Are there days when even when I am done with everything else I am still unmotivated? Yup. On thise days I just start working...my love of what I am doing fuels me and the motivation returns. I started watching you with this cabin project and it is good to return to it. Let me ask you this, have you ever worked with logs? 😉 because that will be my next build, and THAT, should be yours! A log cabin...off grid...in the woods!

That's one sweet cabin. The only thing I would change would be to have a wood burning fireplace for those cold winter days. Love the open space with all the windows that provide a great view to the outdoors. Just perfect!

Can’t wait for your cabin build. There’s a channel called “My Self Reliance”, by Shawn James who is a master builder and is building a beautiful cabin off grid in Canada. If you haven’t seen his channel, I think you would appreciate what he is doing. Amazing craftsmanship and I think you could reach that level.

I love that it’s Reece approved, you need to build a little bathroom & kitchenette that attaches to the cabin so friends can stay (as a girl this is important) and I LOVE the garage videos and the love behind it. Peace & wood chips from. 🇦🇺

I like the cabin space better without the bed! Personally, I usually wake up in the middle of the night to pee, so I would rethink having a sleepover 🤔

The office setup was sweet but it looks even cooler with the bed. I'm anxious to see the next cabin build. I can already picture a woodburning stove

I would have installed the best quality Murphy bed and/or a model that was a (convertible) sofa by day! Conserve every square inch! Even bunk beds would conserve space. I'd make everything folding, such as a wall mounted folding table, as a minimum would enable easier cleaning and/or movement of objects thru the cabin. And great windows and light but storage space is essential to living room, unless you've just accepted this as a sitting space or office only.

Love the cabin. The Birch bed looks very comfortable. It would be rough living there........not.

I saw this and at first felt guilty that I have t set out to build my own cabin. Then I looked around my house. Since this cabin was built, I have remodeled my own kitchen with second hand items, and finished a bathroom remodel and a second half bath. I will get my cabin done. After my house is done.

I am exactly like you! There are days where I feel like a rockstar and get 100 things done, and other days where I feel like there is just way too much to get going. I've learned that it's okay to feel this way. I've lost a handful of friends to depression in the last few years to let the weight keep me down for days at a time. You have been a huge motivation for me since finding your channel earlier this year. I've re-surfaced my deck, installed new molding and repainted for my second son's room that's on the way, and various other electrical and lightning things around the house. I'm actually redoing my first son's room while writing this (don't tell my wife ;) ). I enjoy watching you work on the projects you enjoy, and I would watch the content regardless of what it is. You have the passion and the comedy to get things done and keep it entertaining. Keep up the great work! Let's get after it!

I’ve been dying to get out there and build a cabin on some land near a lake north of Houston TX. Really relate to the “gotta wrap up projects I don’t want to do to move on to what I do want to do” section at the end of the video. If I lived closer to you I’d seriously ask for a job or just to help out with the projects. I’d love to be out there working on those projects and building all the cool stuff you do rather than be sat in front of a desk all day. Some day! Seems like it’s always more fun to help with other peoples projects than do your own, but then you end up with too many things to do it seems. Thanks for making these videos, always the highlight of my day when they come out and I can watch them on a break or after work. P.S. I actually really like the garage build videos, I was thinking about setting up a semi remote cabin and building out a garage to work on project cars every once in a while, and it’s helpful to see all the work that goes into a building like that. You make it look easy I’m so handy I can operate my microwave but that just doesn’t cut it .

Build an Outhouse nearby dude😜, and you won't have to go inside to the "creature comforts"! I just love a good Outhouse! Trust me on this one!

Well, that statement sure pulled me in!! i'm on that page with you, doing it all alone is really awful! Some of my favorite KZreadrs seem to love doing all their work and play, and off grid builds totally alone! And I wonder why?? What is the draw of it? Having someone to do things with, to share your work and play and life with, isn't that real living? Of course I agree that when you have to get your work like editing, Painting pictures, or Computer work done, yea! privacy is important then. Well, God made us to be in families. Loving, healthy companionship is what it's really about!

Why do you want to build it? When it’s complete, who’s going to enjoy it? These are questions that I sometimes forget about. Think about it being complete and how your gonna look back on how much effort it took. It’s not easy but man will it be worth it! Remember, you’ve got time, you’ve got this.

You put maple syrup in your coffee? That may be the most Canadian thing I’ve seen, ya hoser.

You need to work on what you you enjoy period! If it's a project you aren't fully into, are you really going to do the best work you can? I don't think so, you won't be fully in it! Can't wait for this cabin build!

So…since you have so much property, have you thought about putting your talents to work at bunch of little cabins spread over an area and rent them on Air B and B?
