Great video, it's criminal that Sleeping Dogs never got a sequel, could you imagine how many people would've given it a shot in the 10 years of GTA V, especially if they were able to add great online features.

It would be amazing if Sleeping Dogs got a sequel at some point in the future, but I don't think it ever will. It would've been very cool if this game did have an online component even if it was a separate co-op campaign.

Definitely better than GTA5.

One of those games where every year or so out of the blue i feel the irresistible urge to replay it. Sleeping Dogs scratches an itch that no other game can. There really isn't anything like it.

It's in my top 5 games of all time and sits among my other favourite games such as Red Dead Redemption 2, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Grand Theft Auto IV. You can tell that the developers put everything into this game to make it the best it could be and it really paid off. Sleeping Dogs is a masterpiece!

Sleeping Dogs is really a hidden gem. It'd be great to see a sequel or a full-blown remake.

Platinumed the game last year, one of my favourite games of all time and one that has aged beautifully for a game that is 12 years old.

Where is the good programming and development talent to open a private server for this game for everyone who loves the franchise to have fun together? They could even use some files from Triad Wars, an MMO on the same map as sleeping dogs. LET'S GO! I know there are qualified people here to revive the game and in a 10x improved way. Where are the software reverse engineering experts?

Sleeping dogs is the era when the main story experience was key 🔑 to an amazing video game! The pacing and action of sleeping dogs is epic and I never had a dull moment! I’m excited to get the definitive edition when it’s on sale and play this game again! It’s been so long prob a decade now since I’ve finished the game!

I'm happy to hear you also enjoy Sleeping Dogs. I've completed the game and am now attempting to get 100% on my PC playthrough. Everything you have to do to obtain 100% is so much fun and as you mentioned, this game does not have a dull moment. It's crazy to me that the definitive edition of this game goes as cheap as $4 sometimes which is less than a cup of coffee in most countries. The story is fantastic and it's thrilling to see how the story ends which shocks many players, but I think it's perfect!

Currently playing of the first time, on Steam Deck. Playing it felt like a True Crime, glad to know the background now. Awesome coverage of the game and the dev team. Games are rarely made with passion and patience now.

Just replayed this last week...so much fun and still holds up great

Sleeping Dogs is one of the few sandboxes I let the MC walk around in and take in the sights and sounds. Seeing Wei in some areas of HK, I can almost smell the street food / seawater / dirty canal water / booze / opulent perfume depending on which area I take him around in.

Wanted a sequel to be set in japan infiltrating the yakuza, and another during the gangster scene in bombay

One of my all time favorites, this game never gets old

I like Sleeping Dogs story its show how dangerous cop and gangs. GTA V story take out fib high profile person like nothing and ending C is power of friendship

This game has a very rich story line I completed this game four times and every time I play it make me feel good roaming in Hong Kong and there are many activities you can do if you don't want to do missions really this game is amazing you must try it❤

I remember when this game was "True Crime: Hong Kong", Awesome game nonetheless but I've never finished. I'll give it a try on the Steam Deck.

I've just recently 100% completed it again on PC but already thinking about running through it again on my Steam Deck too!

*the only thing missing from Sleeping Dogs is a Turf War feature 🕵 if we could take over a territory and defend it randomly like GTA:SA and Godfather 2, SD would be in my top 10 greatest games ever made* 🌈

I want more. I dont play many AAA games or open world games but this one felt so different

To save yous a bit of time, no matter what year, this is the sort of game that's always worth playing, & if you like it enough of course will be worth replaying for years to come!

Wish Rockstar made more Sleeping Dogs like Games they were pretty good

Just replayed Sleeping Dogs sucks that it won't get a sequel. I've always really liked this game.

I’m stuck at the Enter the Dragon sendup, and the 100knives fight. Otherwise, I would have 💯 %

I'm waiting for Red Dead 3 but also wish they another Similar Game like Sleeping Dogs like a far more Immersive Game

Sleeping Dogs: -A good and badass MC -Interesting Characters you care for -A good Story, -Great Graphics for the time it was released in -Big Map with Beautiful Aesthetics and City View -Amazing Combat. Prolly the best out of any of these Type of Games. Not even Yakuza Games have Combat las good as this Overall prolly the most underrated Game of all Time. Im telling you if Rockstar released a Game like Sleeping Dogs named GTA Hong Kong or something like that it would prolly be seen as the greatest Game of all Time

Sleeping Dogs is phenomenal and in some aspects I think it’s a better game than GTA 5. However GTA IV will always hold a special place in my heart.

It could be cool is the sequel of SD uses only cantonese language to get the right immersion like any HK movie

This is a really good idea. I think it should be an option and not forced onto the player, similar to how the recent Yakuza games allow you to play in English or Japanese. If this language option was added to a sequel to Sleeping Dogs it would definitely make players play through the game multiple times to experience the different languages.

Anyone else experience the game breaking bug that causes main missions to not appear?

I played this game when I came out in and I loved it. Fast forward 13 years later my 7 year old daughter was looking for a game to play. I recommended this due to the combat and open world game play and it's her favorite game and she is demanding a sequel lol. Maybe one day.... 😊

That's definitely a good way to look at it and you're right. Sleeping Dogs is a masterpiece and should just be a standalone experience that you can replay over and over again.

Game is really funny if you understand the language lol.

Although i do enjoy the Sleeping Dogs hand to hand combat, it is extremely similar to the Arkham games in my opinion.

When I first saw people played in this game back then, I was in Australia. And as someone who was born in Hong Kong, it means a lot to me. I went back to Hong Kong later on, bought my PS4, purchased this game, I loved it. Even up till now, Sleeping Dogs is still one of the best game I have ever played. Yet, it's a shame to say that we probably will never see a sequel to this game, especially after seeing what the HK government in the HK police force did to the Hongkongers since 2019.😢
