Yes. I know that I’m not the only person who was cringing as I was watching him using the lathe with those strings hanging down. It only takes that one time for it to accidentally get caught up in the lathe to cause an extremely bad injury or his death! I feel like he is on the spectrum with add and adhd people. My garage is a mess and looks like a landfill to my family. But I guarantee I cal tell you that the screw for the lawnmower in the back yard that holds on the plastic cover is under the left rear tire of my jaguar and has been there for 6 months now. Or how I have sandpaper that fell behind the work bench a year ago that’s 1000 grit. Or he’ll even where I dropped a 10 mm socket by my back fence and it’s still sitting there after 2 years. We never forget anything. Especially if it’s something we handled last. I cannot tell you where anything is tho after my mom comes by and “cleans” up the house while she visits. Lmao I have lost more stuff to her moving something 6 inches than to my kids that touch everything. Atleast my kids have only 4 hiding spots and I can guarantee you will find anything you lost in those places. Yea it makes no sense to others that are normal. But that’s the beauty of having adhd. Everything looks like a tornado came through but we know where it all is at. (Not saying everything in the house is a mess. Just the zones that I personally claim as only mine.) everything else is clean and looks like a hotel room. 😂

Hey machinist Willey! Next time you only have to take off a little bit just run it again without turning any dials. It's called a spring pass. It just takes off the amount that the cutter flexes away from the part. You'll be surprised how often you can go too far without going anywhere!
When you find the video within 2 minutes of the upload, it's like I can smell the burnt whatever they're burning this time from the video

When going through my machinist class. The math behind it is that when cutting circular stock on a lathe it is actually double the depth of your cut. So cut half of what you want until you get comfortable enough to take the big cuts
@WorldofTon
19 күн бұрын
Yes because you are decreasing the radius by the amount you move. So it takes that much off of each point all the way around the circumference.
@WorldofTon

1/2” cut on the radius is a full 1” off the diameter.

Make an electric crosskart "trike" with a battery pack in the back (over track), but have it on a swing arm, so that it works like a servo, making it so you don't have to tilt/ lean while turning, and able to control it while doing a wheelie! This proof of concept can start a new wave of snow machines, since electric snowmobiles as is sucks hard and is anything but premium.
@russellzauner
Ай бұрын
or just put the motor and tracks on the barbie boat to make it amphibious all weather
@Todd_Gerhardt

Sorry but I'm confused why would u have to lean/tilt in a cross cart to turn? They have 4 wheels? We'll tracks if I'm reading this right lol
@williamschultz298
Ай бұрын
@@Todd_Gerhardt Not OP but probably to counterlean during a turn. With long suspension vehicles (without an anti-rollbar) during turns, they have a tendency to lean outwards. this would solve that without using an anti-rollbar (which you want for some reason????).
@goontheracoon
Ай бұрын
@@Todd_Gerhardt Let me clear things up.. it's a snowmobile, but picture a crosskart trike, the battery can lean from side to side as to shifts the center of mass, it also offset driver weight up front 2, using the battery weight as a feature, and not a flaw like EVERY electric machine ever. it would be MUCH safer during avalanches, and you'd be able to climb RLY well in it. for those who play in snow, this will save lives.
Anker makes some really good bluetooth speakers too. Their whole soundcore series is pretty nice.
Remember there machinist Willy if you take a little bit off on a lathe it takes it off x2!! So that little bit is doubled haha
I've known a few machinists in my days, and they all have a patience level far beyond most people 😂 And this is exactly where it comes from, just sitting and watching
23:10 Was pretty much anyone's throttle and speed dream. I felt every push of the accelerator and every turn of the wheel.
NGL GHPC, could throw solar panels on the roof of the shop and have a battery backup system (and I think Anker makes those) which would help the power problems (when they occur)
@pastaalalamborghini
Ай бұрын
Anyone who owns a home that can afford solar panels and home battery back up should get that installed ASAP. My power cost has gone up over %20 in under a year. If cost continues to rise, the ROI graph will be a curve, not a straight line

Use a small drill bit to make pilot holes before using the step bit. It will save time and make the step bit last longer. Do NOT blow chips off a part without safety glasses or at least close your eyes first.
I see that gives you 6,000-W and an amp rating of 30 amps. If you use the lathe, air compressor, or welder, all separately and not at once, then you should be fine. But you'd benefit from the double setup they have, giving you 12,000-W, or the battery expansions like you said. We thought we were ok here, and didn't need a backup generator. Then the power went out for 31 hours a few weeks ago. The next day we ordered a 22-KW Generac Guardian generator with the automatic transfer panel. It runs off of natural gas or propane. The entire generator with the transfer panel, shipped to the door was about $6500. And then another $700 in parts for the conduit and wire. We wired it ourselves, and it's big enough to run our entire place (including 2 HVAC systems and a boiler) and were able to hook up our neighbor's house also, since they don't have AC, there's not much of an amp draw there. In any power outage though, we just don't run the electric dryer, and likely could go a couple days just hanging laundry.
Currently off grid living and I really need to get one of those. That would be really helpful and pretty awesome.

100% need to build an RC vehicle with those tracks on all four corners!!! Be about 1/5-1/4 scale and would be amazing. You already have the motors, just need heavy duty 1/4 scale servos to steer. Watch some of Kevin Talbot's Raminator videos and he shows great servos for the best deals that could handle that kind of load.
Best content out here right now!
Damn that RC is huge totally Hobby Grade🔥🤣
Keep making merch i love the set it and bent it hoodies
you should make the bottom smooth like a sled and make the tracks retractable so you can use it like a downhill sled with tracks that can take you back up the hill.
You should put two tracks on either rear tire and put a outer guide to keep both tracks on actually inner guide and outer guide welded on the outside of either side. And put wheels on the front they will still turn in the snow similar to skis. And I've seen at the drag strips where they put solid rubber on the tracks instead of grooved
Be careful! I think you should first plug the orange plug and then the blue connector to the wall. The blue has insulated connectors. If the wall is live (happen to have forgot one fuse on), the orange plug could have dedly live prongs exposed. Cool things you are making
