I've probably listened to this song hundreds of times, and it rips my heart out every time. The rawness of his voice with the softness of the piano, you really feel the pain. Even though this is the better version, listen to the album version as well. The music is a little harder, and it ends with the sound of Vessel weeping 😭

When he breaks down sobbing at the end on the album version. Straight to the soul, man.

Though he never produced an official cover, there is a video or two floating around KZread of Vessel doing a cover of Hallelujah. You think you've seen Vessel pour everything into his music, you haven't seen anything until you watch that. React to it next, please.

In the original version (which you should also listen to) there's a lot more happening musically, but at the end you can hear him crying.

This stripped down version is gorgeous but hearing it with the instruments just make it come more alive. You need to listen to the album version. I don’t think this song is played very much live at concerts. Everyone would be in tears. Vessel gives everything to this song. Your heart cannot be ripped out in pieces. ❤️🖤

The last 30 seconds of the album version is just Vessel sobbing. If they took that last 30 seconds, and put it at the end of this version, it would be absolute perfection. This song is so viscerally heart wrenching, but an absolute masterpiece all at once

I went to their concert in may this year and cried bc of all the emotions and their songs, omg! Definitely a concert to go to if you wanna feel almost every emotion and also feel everything they’re feeling!

Vessel is my favourite singer ever. Because he makes you feel the songs on another level. He sings, not just to your ears. He sings straight to your soul. When he sings, you are not listening the song, you are living the song.

My explanation is that when you are watching somebody talk or sing, you are watching their emotion as they do so. You are reacting to their physical responses. With Vessel, you can't see (or minimally see) the expression on his face. You are purely reacting/interpreting audibly to the emotions he's emitting. It's truly magical.

I love the album version of this song too. TLDR; I think the last song on each album: Bloodsport, Missing Limbs, and Euclid, all tie together. To me, this song is him pleading with her to give them another chance; to try again. I think he fucked up in a way he really regrets and he's begging her for forgiveness, but instead all she gives him is indifference. Her indifference is either as a result of being hurt so badly by him that she's using it as a defence mechanism or she just doesn't love him as much as he loves her. Either way, gut wrenching. "I want to be forgiven, I want to choke up chunks of my own sins." This is the last song on the first album and I believe it ties into the last song on each album following. I think Missing Limbs, the last song on the second album, is him finally starting to accept that she may never forgive him and they won't get back together, but there's still a part of him that hopes she'll change her mind. Cause living without her is like living without a piece of himself. "And my polite defences won't last for long, the eager apprehension is wearing off." To me, Euclid, the last song on the third album, is about redemption and thanking the fans for being with him on this journey he goes through on all three albums. I think it also ties into this relationship a bit because it's him coming out the other side and finally accepting that they will never be together again. "I know for the last time, you will not be mine."

this is literally my favorite thing i've seen him do.. the first time i saw it my jaw dropped and i had to play it back. you have to see his whole performance from the room below 🥹🫶

Controversially while I love this version too I actually prefer the buildup and heaviness of the album verson; it hits me harder and the crying at the end rips my heart open every time

Don't know why people want so much for the guy to react specifically to the room below version. Don't get me wrong this version is awesome, but only after you listen to the album version

I'm def in the minority on this one, but I prefer the album version over this version. This is an awesome rendition, but the album version has much more replayability for me. Def check it out if you f'd with this one.

Tbh I much prefer the original over this because I like the metal parts of their songs, they kinda put you off the good version, but the video for this version is great

This isn't Sleep Token. This is Vessel. The album version is so much better imo. Man breaks into tears on the album. Your viewers once again are screwing this whole journey up for you. Gatta go through the album before you get to this masterpiece. I hate it when fans get reactors to jump all over the place like this. Do it in order, get the full scope.
