You know how when you get older, fewer and fewer things pierce that foggy veil. You respond less and less emotionally to things, you hear some sappy song and see everyone saying it made them cry and you can't relate. You know maybe a few years ago you could but life has just gotten so heavy that no song can invoke those feelings, yeah well that isn't the case with this song. The first song to make me feel ok in a while. Thanks man.

My son died 11 years ago today. I was lost for a long time. And then I found Sleep Token, or rather, I feel like they found me. Broken, shattered and slowly dying a little bit every day, I stumbled upon Missing Limbs and it changed everything for me. Through their music, I've finally started to live again, be present, participate in my own life. I Was able to see them at the Dallas Ritual this year, and it.was.EVERYTHING. On my deepest darkest days, I isten to Sleep Token and I grieve and i LIVE. Eternally grateful for their music.

It is the imperfections in his voice, the cracks and breaks, that were left in the recording on purpose that makes Vessel one of the most amazing singers and artists in our time. Same. I came across them literally 3 days ago (I know I must have been under a rock 🤦‍♀️) but my goodness I’m so glad I did. Their music is “moving” me in ways and reaching me in places that music hasn’t been able to touch (if I’m honest, that NOTHING has been able to touch) in probably like 15+ years. Not since I was in my early 20’s and felt everything. I came across a video of someone describing the band and the lore and the “gimmick” (their words not mine) and I thought that sounded interesting, but I was not prepared for just how AMAZING the music would be. I thought it might be fun deciphering the lyrics to figure out the story but didn’t realize how powerful they would be regardless of the “lore” and how much they’d actually resonate with me and my own story. I also love how versatile the music is; songs go from rock to heavy metal to electronic to acoustic to a cappella, sometimes even within the song. And the vocals are on another level. I’m just so glad I discovered them when I did because they are exactly what I need in my live right now and I’m so grateful to be able to “feel something” again. ❤

Hey so anyone else know the feeling when you've spent almost a decade feeling completely numb, fearing that life and music just don't affect you the same way anymore, rationalizing it away with blanket statements like "I guess I'm just getting older" while secretly wondering what's broken in you and berating yourself for your own inability to feel, when suddenly a song randomly plays while driving and you're pulled over weeping in a Wawa parking lot as 9 years of emotional catharsis erupts from deep within and you're left feeling exhausted, depleted, and yet for the first time in recent memory... human again? I do now. Thank you, Sleep Token.

I do believe you have hit it on the head. Vessel's voice just destroys me and I'm left in pieces ~ every time. It's like my spirit needed a jolt toward healing by ripping up an old set of inner wounds. Then, I really internalize the lyrics to Missing Limbs, Levitate, The Love You Want, Alkaline, The Offering and I'm left wondering, where do I go from here? Talk about the Great Reset.

I can relate. My husband that I was with for 15 yrs left me for someone almost ten yrs younger than me after knowing her for a month. We spent over a decade building a life of no debt. Owned our lakefront home on 20 acres, an investment property, three cats, two dogs, a flock of chickens, and what was to be a sustainable homestead. All for new relationship energy (she was agreed to be MY girlfriend that I would share with him. Both lied to my face. The divorce was the worst part I can't even get into. I feel you so much. It's been over two years and I'm still so emotionally damaged it's wild. I hope you find peace on your journey and new path. I know it can be very hard. But we are so much better for it 🖤

It’s a spiritual experience all on its own. Sleep token has deserves ever positive feedback back they have been given. I can’t not WAIT to see how they develop for years to come. • @peterconigliaro200

The torment infused in this song, in this performance, in every performance of this song, it's absolutely soul-crushing. I've yet to hear a performance of this song, studio or otherwise, where Vessel doesn't break apart by the end, and I find myself breaking apart right along side him. Because I've been in the place that this song depicts, and the words are weaved so beautifully that the scars from my own trauma start to ache again as if they'd only been inflicted yesterday. With the release of Euclid earlier this year, I can only hope that the man has achieved some degree of peace in overcoming the pain he's been forced to endure. Vessel insists that we saved him and not the other way around... I disagree. Whatever validation he may have gotten from the reception to his music may have helped to pull him from the darkness, but I know it goes without saying that this music, and all of Sleep Token's music, has done at least a little of the same for each and everyone of us here. We are all of us more than the masks we wear. We are all of us more than the burdens we carry and the trauma we endure. We are all of us more than our mistakes, our faults, our guilt. We are all of us human - mind and body, flesh and bone, desperately searching for meaning amid our finite mortal coil. But the beauty of life doesn't come from fate, or from who we think we are or who we believe we are meant to be. The beauty of life is having been born, and from being alive to experience this world now, at this very moment. Through all the smiles, through all the sorrow, and through every shade of life in between, the night belongs to us.

It’s always different when you see someone in this much pain, and so beautifully expressed. I hope I never have to go back there again.

Did anyone else click the thumbnail thinking it would be heavy metal or just me? This song is beautiful tho - definitely going on my painting playlist

Yeah, this is a lot more emo than I was anticipating. I'm still not sure if it's my cup of tea, but I can appreciate the talent here.

@@paulhahn8073 I can understand if it's not your cup of tea but I'd say it's not emo per se. That's like calling Ghost emo

I love how the lyrics barely change but through each verse there’s anger/sarcasm, then regret/accountability, then hope. Never has a song completely fit my life right now! My wife and I have been through the wringer with each other, but are still madly in love and are finally in a good spot! It’s not always sunshine in roses, sometimes it’s a bloodsport, and honestly, it makes you appreciate it so much more.

Honestly! When I saw them live I had never heard of them before and it was so surreal, it was like I was looking at ghosts or aliens or something! Just looking at Vessel gave me a powerful feeling that I can't even describe, it was so weird.

The pain in his voice when he says “somewhere; somewhere the atoms stopped fusing; I’m still your favorite regret, you’re still my weapon of choosing” …Vessel you okay man? 😢
