I used to get sleep paralysis maybe 10x total… It was the most horrifying thing ive ever experienced. I felt half asleep/half awake, unable to speak but felt like I was trying to scream for help, felt like 1,000lbs was holding me down as I tried to reach for my side table to get out of bed, felt like I couldn’t breathe. The same exact surroundings as my bedroom were the settings and a 10 foot cloaked demon stood at the end of my bed. It was always the same exact scenario every time it happened. Ever since I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior the sleep paralysis and nightmares have completely stopped. This is a true story! Praise God!

I got sleep paralysis years ago I felt my blanket covers going down off the bed. when I woke up the blankets were still there. I was shocked 😲

All the times I been in sleep paralysis I've cried out to GOD saying "GOD Please help me" and it breaks my paralysis everytime 🙏🏽

I had sleep paralysis once and I was so terrifying. May 25th 2020, my birthday, I got up to get ready for work and this massive sleep started falling over me, I went and laid back down, my head was so heavy I could hardly lift my head. As soon as I laid down I completely froze, I couldn’t move or scream for him. I watched a woman (I hear she’s called the Hag,) walks in our room and stands over me. She was wearing a white gown with long black hair, she looked like a corpse. She was what you see in movies but I didn’t know Christ so I didn’t know what to do. She walked into our room and stood over me looking down at me with her mouth open and pointing to the woods behind my house. I got so scared, when I was released I called off work and went to my dads house ( I didn’t know who to tell) my dad laughed and said it was probably my great grandmother, he said she was supposedly a witch and was probably trying to give me powers. I felt so uneasy about it’s I came to Christ in august 2021 and I now know it was a demon

Had it for the first time on Monday. An hour after I commanded sipirits associates with sin patterns to leave in Jesus name. A massive tiredness feeling came over me be I went to sleep. I remember my dream in this world that seemed empty and cloudy. It manifested a random dream about me playing with a bird. Then last thing I remembered his seeing a humanoid figure in my dream outta nowhere and I think it sprinted towards me and scared me back into real life. As I was forcing my way to wake up from the dream it felt like I was being held into the dream my tiredness. I open my eyes and as I regain consciousness I could feel lots of hands rubbing up my chest

I said Jesus but the words were so hard to come out I got to Jesu- as I forced myself to come back out of fear

I experienced this as a child and the only thing that would stop it was me calling out to Jesus!! Please pray a hedge of protection over your children, household and over those that you care about not in your house that may not know what is happening to them that the Lord would protect them during the vulnerability of sleep. I have been attacked many times. The evil spirits were suppressing me in my sleep for many years. When I tried to fight them they kept suppressing me more and more. I didn’t understand what was happening. I thought it was just a bad dream. This bad dream was the work of the demons. I was not calling on the name of the Lord during those attacks. Please be very careful who you invite in your homes. I was delivered, praise God Almighty. Pray without ceasing🙏🏾

I am an ex lucifarian and dreams are something more than most want to believe. Always, always, always pray for our Father to watch over our dreams and fight for us through them. Demons are visible in dreams, and manifest in all types of ways. I would also astral project, and I got to where it was second nature, along with Lucid dreaming, which was assisted by demonic forces. It is a horrible thing to agree with, and fall into. Always pray my brothers and sisters 🙏

Why does it happen?

I had that problem years ago. I would feel invisable forces grabbing my neck chocking me. I would see many faces horrible ones with my eyes closed. That is why for those that we know and aware of that other world, we should always pray to God and Jesus before we sleep. It is when we are most vulnerable, phisically and spiritualy

I hope nick jones sees this. Im 16 and its been about a year on my journey with christ on my own basically. Ive changed still stuggle with sin here and there but not every day like it used to be and Im thankful for that. But im fed up with failing after who knows how long ive gone without sin and I end up doing it. So I prayed last night for God to scare me so im more loyal to god and realize the power I have within me to fight it. That night I got sleep paralaysis for the first time ever (at least I think it was) But I saw these two giant dark beings standing over me and my parents. They made me so scared I couldnt move at all but I wanted to. I didnt know if these were demons,angels,or my imagination. My dad also has had sleep paralysis around the same age when he was younger.

PERIODDDDD always knew this, used to have a lot of attacks growing up with a demonic abuse father. I’d see them crawling on him while he slept. They would try to attack me but after a while I had enough. My moms friend had told me to tell them with AUTHORITY to LEAVE in the name of Jesus ! Once I became confident they couldn’t attack me like that because of the authority God gave me, they left me alone for a long time. I’ve had some here and there but never like I used to…imagine being a 7 year old unable to function fully because you couldn’t get sleep because of demons attacking you everyday all night. How is that a gift ???

These people are losing their mind. We are definitely in the last days. LORD HAVE MERCY

I couldn’t move or speak facing them. But my heart and soul knew that I needed to call out to Christ. With all my might I was finally able to get the words out. I pleaded with God in my mind because that’s all I could physically do. In those agonizing minutes of not being able to talk or move, it was painful and scary. I finally told them this morning, “in the name of Jesus, leave my home. You are not welcome here. Leave my home, my family, and never return. I pray in Jesus’s name, God please protect me, my son, my family (everyone named). I cast out these demons in the name of Jesus”. The door I saw them staring at me from finally closed, I felt instant relief and I was able to sit up and continue praying out loud. Demonic Nightmares/sleep paralysis are something I have faced my entire life. 😢I am requesting prayers please. Over me and my household. Times are hard right now. 😭

There is nothing more frightening than sleep paralysis I even hate to talk about it but I used to go through this a lot and thank God it has been a while since I have had one of those nights when it is just terrifying knowing somebody's behind you or on top of you and you cannot move or scream it's a terrifying thing

2years ago at cheer camp I slept in the same dorm room with a girl that had slep peralisis and I was terrified that I would wake up and there be a demon standing over me thankfully there was not

Last night I was trying to sleep nd all of a sudden I felt my body go into sleep paralysis (I couldn’t move my body or talk) nd a thought in my head told me to sing “ holy sprint you are welcome here, come flood this place fill the atmosphere” so I said it like 2-4 times until I could finally hear my voice and I was out of the sleep paralysis

Sleep paralysis is literal torment and you get no rest. Demons attacking you when go to sleep to get rest.That’s not a gift.

i’m so confused bc i had a dream i was taking care of a sick child and the sick child told me “god will make a way” after he told me that i experiences sleep paralysis and the only one i got out of it was by repeating back to the child “god will make a way” … that can’t be demonic that has to be a message.

I had it last night and started praying, the second I was able to speak I said stated “Jesus” and it was like the air got sucked out of the room within a second ,you could hear the air changing and my broken fan fixed itself … 😂 I come from a family of pagans I’ve been trying to pull away from and pray to god and educate myself with him , it’s true how they say he is all powerful because the second I stated that name it was the most beautiful feeling, like HAH you can’t compete with the most high.❤🙏

I had this happen to me once . I knew something was off , I couldn’t move scream do anything the noise in my ear was demonic . When I finally was able to move I ran so fast to my husband . I had convinced my self I was just tired and delusional. But 12 yrs later it still haunts me .

I agree with you Nick. There is an exception though with those of us with Narcolepsy. That is a symptom for some that is horrifying that you have your whole life. 😢

I know what you mean.. They used to grab my ankles at night and twirl it around I was sleep but mentally awoke and they used to drag me to the bottom of my bed and even lifted me up in the air in the middle of my room .. stay sober!!

I used to have sleep paralysis all the time from my childhood and now im 16 i dont really know why cuz my whole family was a christian bt i wa sthe only one that experiences this, probably because i always have negative thoughts and feelings, i was like the black sheep of the family, i was literally abnormal i suffer alot from my ocd, anxiety and depression. And there was one time back in 2020 i was experiencing this very horrifying dream more scary than my past sleep paralysis episodes, i was at my bed waking up, but then alot of cockroaches were crawling up to me and i couldnt get up, i try over and over but i literally cant, i tried so hard i even almost stood up from it but theres this strange feeling that drags me down, all I said was MOM HELP ME! MOM!, and then the roaches start climbing up my throat my ears and nostrils, it was very traumatizing, i literally woke up crying. My whole life I thought having sleep paralysis was normal but it just keeps getting worse, my sleep paralysis dreams stopped when i grew closer to Jesus, every time I was having another nightmare I say his name JESUS JESUS, then wake up just a few second, even my mouth was delayed saying Jesus as I woke up, it was INCREDIBLE, REMEMBER GUYS NEVER LOSE FAITH IN GOD, JESUS LOVES YOU❤

It’s crazy! I literally had it and I always hear people say call on Jesus and you will be fine so I did and it worked I just fell back to sleep my neck was being held forward I couldn’t breathe or move I felt heavy I didn’t see anything crazy tho thank GOD!

I’ve actually used sleep paralysis in 2015 to astral project. I learned to make it happen and would then roll out of my body on the 6th or 7th attempt (in a row mind you) after my astral projection and re-entering my body, I would pass out while wide awake and see demons I even involuntarily astral projected while at work, and would watch myself working, which was insane to experience. This would even happen once when I was in my friend’s car wide awake after a full nights rest. I’ve even had experiences where I had sleep paralysis involuntarily and would call on Jesus, which I then saw the inter dimensional being cringe and scream a painful scream that my whole body felt, and it was an unexplainable pain, worse than I have felt physically, before it bolted off. I called to God and prayed in The Name of Jesus, by The Power of The Holy Spirit to have these things stop. They stopped that very moment onward! Permanently! the dude is right about what sleep paralysis is, but he is wrong about it being a gift. I am not schizophrenic, by any means and no longer experience these things at all. I didn’t even know that The Bible made mention of the silver cord until I opened my Bible afterwards to a random page, and there it was somewhere in Ecclesiastes. I also didn’t know that you can immediately end sleep paralysis by calling Jesus. This stuff is wild but it’s real. I say this as an ex atheist who hated God, who hated Christianity. Trust me when I say that the more you look into these truths about the world in which we live the more things will make sense

I’ve never doubted Gods capabilities or anything, but when people say call on Jesus to stop the paralysis I didn’t know if it would actually work, because I had never experienced it but when I did I called on Jesus and it worked! Thanks for telling your story very interesting!

I used to have sleep paralysis, but each time I prayed. Now my husband continues to have sleep paralysis, but for some reason I always wake up right before he has it. It’s weird, but as long as I keep my hand on him, he’ll be fine. When I wasn’t sure if it was a nightmare or sleep paralysis, I’d touch him and he’ll have goosebumps and he is cold to the touch.

I've experienced sleep paralysis many times throughout my life and never have I ever felt like it was something good that was happening to me...I couldn't move my body, I couldn't speak, so I immediately started using my thoughts to pray against it saying " I am a child of God. I belong to Jesus Christ." ....I saw a black cloud with a strange looking face like a mask in it...then it answered me with an audible voice inside my head...it said "Im not afraid of Jesus. I'm afraid of Michael." I spoke to a priest about this and he told me I needed to spend more time in prayer. He said this was a foot soldier, a luetinient of Satan. He was talking about Michael the Archangel. This wasn't the only incident. I've had many. This was as the most significant. They have happened through out my life...I always knew intuitively to pray. When I started to pray.. with my thoughts bc I couldn't speak...it would stop. I do believe this is a type of demonic attack.

Experienced sleep paralysis. Was a horrifying experience.

My sister & I had these when I was a teen & I’d rebuke them in the name of Jesus even though I couldn’t speak I still did the best I could. Then my mom had our whole family worship so it left us! Praise Jesus!

Few years I had sleep paralysis one time and I was between a nightmare and awake. Every-time I would close my eyes I was chained to a bed with a surgeon about to saw my head open. So I just kept my eyes open. The part that was the worst was my mom was right outside my door and I tried calling her but I couldn’t move my mouth or talk it was a horrific/traumatic experience.

I have to call out the name of Jesus to make it stop. The worst is when ur struggling so hard to say His name bc ur literally paralyzed in your sleep

Sleep paralysis happened to me last night. And I couldn't speak was whining and unable to move in what felt like about 30 seconds.

When I was 26 I remember one day I was exhausted and I came home from work and collapsed into my bed before even getting undressed from work. I fell into a sort of deep sleep for a few minutes until I heard the door to my room open and slam shut, something that reminded me of a black version of slimmer from "Ghost Busters" came inside and floated into my bed. I knew at this point I was asleep but not really dreaming. My body was asleep but my mind and eyes were wide opened/awake. I yelled and told the demon to get out because it wasn't welcomed in my home. The first demon spoke back and said "Tina, I will be back". I then responded saying you don't know me. I remember everything in my room looked the same. I could hear voices of children laughing outside. Then I looked over to my right, and beside my bed near the closet was a different looking demon even more powerful, standing over me. It was a male, he was like a shadow figure or something, he was not human looking, but had a body form, face, and arms. He was thick and had a strange color with tight squinty eyes. He reminded me of that marvel character "Ben Grimm". I was screaming out telepathically calling on Jesus. I was trying to get up. The demon was right in my face. He did not say anything. He was pure evil. I remember as he stood over me my left arm lifted out of my body and it looked transparent, I could see right through it. The demon was trying to get me to astral project or something. Keep in mind I have never astral projected in my life. I was fighting that demon with everything I had. My arm fell back into my body and I felt the demon get even more angry because he thought he had me. I am convinced that the demon was either trying to posses me or perhaps even kill me. I called on the name of Jesus repeatedly until I snapped out of it. when I woke up I felt so drained and weak. I was terrified. I called my mom and asked if I could come stay the night with her. When I got to my moms the attacks continued. I saw another demon this time and it appeared as a small beautiful light brown skin Black boy, he stood about 4 feet 10 inches with thick black curly hair. He had really big feet and weird body proportions. He was wearing suspenders, a short sleeved shirt and hat that looked like something out of the mid 1800's. He opened the door to the room and peaked inside, then he walked in the room. I didn't get scared until he got closer to me because his presence was pure evil. He climbed in the bed next to me and touched me, I felt like I was being electrocuted, it was painful. I was rebuking it until I woke up again. I thought I was losing it. I have also seen a thick black cloud above my bed floating in the ceiling with torn cloth hanging from it. That demonic spirit has revealed itself to me twice. Both times it was because of fear filling my heart before bed. I use to watch a lot of horror films and I now know that I have invited those demonic spirits into my life because of Hollywood scary movies which are a gate way into the spiritual realm. I no longer watch scary movies but I still have sleep paralysis every once and while and I can feel anything from sexual caressing of my breast or vagina and even worse I feel like I am being jabbed/poked violently in my side or on my back. It's tormenting. I am no longer going to keep opening the doors through astrology/ zodiac signs, horoscope, and tarot readings. I pray for Gods protection and that he continues to cover us with the blood of Christ Jesus.

And that is exactly why I would fall asleep with how to get rid of the devil while I am asleep

Last night a demon attacked me in my sleep and was whispering stuff I couldn’t understand what it was saying and I had a bad headache. I started saying the words of Psalm 23 and it went away😢 and 2 nights ago I got attacked again I couldn’t move or open my eyes and I heard a man’s voice talking sounds like a white man and his voice keeps chipping in and out like when we on earth have a bad phone call and he was talking English but I still couldn’t make out what he was trying to say 😢 . I don’t know why I’m being attacked. It’s not every night but once in a while . I’m trying to live holy and repented of my sins and now this is happening to me . Smh 🤦‍♀️ I’m on KZread looking if anyone has this experience

That sounds terrifying! I had sleep paralysis the other day and I couldn’t breathe, and it felt like I was being choked and held down to my bed and I thought I was finna die! I had heard about it before and everyone says call on Jesus so that’s what I did, and It worked! I pray you don’t experience that again!🙏

Sleep paralysis is a gift! If you have never experienced it, then you really can’t speak on it. The shadows that you see are your shadow work that you must do. When you allow the paralysis part to pass, you are able to pull up and out your body, into an OBE. Nothing can harm you unless you allow it to be true. I’ve had sleep paralysis since a teenager, once I overcame the fear of my own shadow, and started doing healing work, the shadows disappeared, and gateways opened up into other dimensions. They want you to be in fear, they don’t know pass the paralysis part, is other dimensions. ❤

I have astral projection while meditating or laying in bed still awake. I can bring myself back at will. But I've never been further than my ceiling lol. My one experience with sleep paralysis, I was only about 6 inches above my bed, the room was dark (but I slept with the light on) and the self I saw was me 10 years prior. I couldn't wake up and it was a creepy dimension to be in. My son next to me woke me up and when I first fully awakened I still felt like I couldn't move. I'd say the latter is not a gift.

You are 100% correct I suffer from chronic sleep paralysis and have for years. I take meds for it. But after my grandma died and I started praying more it has gone away mostly even without my meds.

I used to have sleep paralysis and hen I was 10 years old and every night I couldn’t move, i saw a dark figure that terrified me. Now I don’t have sleep paralysis anymore and started praying more to God.

Facts this happened to me years ago I will never forget what happened, I was so terrified afterwards especially after the demon spoke to me💯.

Sleep paralysis is scary AF and is a real thing! Who in their right mind would want to be in that state?

Always felt that i was gonna die in this state. I had to fight. Dark shadows all around. @HI-gm8ih I was too scared to go to sleep right away. I thought I would not wake up again. The Shadow People is a movie made by a guy that experienced this. The Shadow People it's on Roku now. I rented the movie once and there was an interview and the guy shared his experiences and the radio announcer that investigated the occurrences. This movie brought me to tears. I didn't feel alone anymore. I had a name for them. Sometimes when I feel overly sleepy I feel them around. I wake myself up. Try not to go to sleep when they around. You'll know the difference. It ain't no blessing, unless you wanna die.

I like when I wake up and my body has that stillness and everything is so quiet. That’s the perfect time to meditate, before the body wakes up. The mind is at peace or should I say my mind lol. Once my body starts to wake up its disturbing. The peace I feel goes away. I can feel my senses waking up . I’ll begin to get urges to use the bathroom or feel my stomach start to churn and growl. Then the thoughts about my day starts to invade my mind . When that happened I know is time to get up because my mind is now active in this realm . I can’t just jump up out my sleep smh oh no . I take my take , breath and meditate/ pray, then I begin my day with a full glass of water and sing my praises.

Now I’ve had a dream where elders or witches I’m not too sure were ushering me into a riitual with blood and all . I don’t know what blood they thought they were using to throw on me but it wasn’t working. Because Once I started shouting Jesus those entities begin to shift in their spirit , I saw it in their eyes. They backed away trembling. They had no choice but to let me go cause the power of the Lord was too sure to deny . God lives in me and I walk this earth with a brave heart because I’m aware of his grace and mercy.

This is what brought me to my faith. At first I was blind to these dreams and thought nothing of it, then slow things start appearing in my life that lead me to believe it was demons. And then I heard a voice in one of the dreams that said loud and clear “this is a demon now wake up”. Months later aka right I still have them every now and again. I’m not able to pray in the dream which helps wakes me up. But I’ve been having them again lately and honestly I’m tired hence why I’m up at 12:53 am scared to go to sleep typing this. I know Jesus won’t take it away and that the dreams only last a few secs since I God has given me what I needed to wake up from them, it’s still scary and now is affecting how I sleep

I have definitely been suffering from sleep paralysis. When that happens I always pray to Jesus or speak Jesus name in my mind . I've heard laughter and growling. I do believe in Jesus and have been trying to lead people to Christ.

I pray for Jesus to save me from the attacks when I get them. Every time I feel a lighter presence and the paralysis goes away. It’s important to pray for angels to watch over through the night and to keep His presence in your heart when you go to sleep.

My people perish because of lack of knowledge. Educate them for me please

I just had sleep paralysis. I suffered with it on and off since I was 11 years old. I started reading my bible and getting right with the Lord again and BOOM it happened again. I started singing in my sleep paralysis “Oh Victory in Jesus. My savior Forever” and I broke free. Christians if you’re suffering with this, put on your armory of God and protect yourself. In the Name of Jesus, I command any unholy spirits to LEAVE us alone! In Jesus Almighty Name, Amen ❤

I was under a demonic attack once that denied me sleep for 43 days once and it was as bad as you could imagine, I Praise my Heavenly Father that He got me through it. If you doubt that anyone could not sleep for 43 days and nights my friend I swear this happened.

That's not a gift that's a horrible nightmare I've struggled so bad with sleep, from multiple bout OF FEAR, FROM PTSD ,TRAMA , RECURRING HORRIBLE NIGHTMARES THAT ARE SCARY THAT I DONT LIKE FALLING ASLEEP. THIS IS VERY REAL,

I had a sleep paralysis loop yesterday, it took me to hell, and I tried so hard to pray, and I eventually did pray. Then I “woke up” three times in that one dream telling my parents about it, they didnt seem to care because I think they were demons in disguise. I finally woke up, and just laid around for a bit, then went back to sleep and had a more normal dream. I had sleep paralysis maybe like 6 times now, and they started in my late teens, currently in my younger 20s.

This happened last night. I am thankful that even in that very deep unconscious state I was able to say the name of Jesus and instantly felt like I was released.

I saw a sleep demon once and it came right at me and I was able to move and yell oh shit effectively waking up my significant other and dispelling the dark figure. Why was I not paralyzed by fear? Was it just a part of me that had to return?

They feed off your fear… make yourself get angry, then you can move, turn your lights on, open your bible and pray. It takes at least 20 minutes before the dirty, filthy evil feeling ebbs away, but faith in Jesus beats their attack every time.

ive invoked sleep paralysis , like on purpose. its when your body fell asleep but your head hasnt. you have to wake up . ive done it enough to where it only takes me 15 seconds to get out of it now. i trained doing this because i didn't like being stuck should there ever be an emergency. I never felt any demons or anything just didnt understand what was going on. ever since i learned how to get out of it perfectly. ive never had it. I did all this before knowing what it was even called or even before anyone told me it was a demon or anything. i was like 9.

I’ve been having it again but I’m not living in sin as before…I told my Christian counselor and she thinks I need medication and a referral….throughout history people experienced this and it was seen through a spiritual lens and often seen as an evil force. Even pagans like Egyptians believed it to be an evil spirit. It’s not until today, modern times, that we see everything as so material and can explain it all away with mental issues or medication….

I hear you about having these episodes and not living in sin….I think we are chosen for spiritual warfare🤷🏾‍♀️….I could be wrong, but I don’t feel in my spirit that I am because I’m interacting with The Most High and I still slip into these realms with these sleep paralysis episodes….I started a journal writing down what I see and what I hear or smell once I come out of the episodes, and calling the name of JESUS is my sure fire way of being released from whatever you want to call it 😂….I use to try jerking myself out or yelling for help of course my body wasn’t doing any of it, so it doesn’t work all the time but when you speak JESUS! Everything stops and I wake up. So yeah it’s demonic in it somewhere maybe or certain things wouldn’t seize when we say Jesus, but also could it be something else too? Preparing us for spiritual warfare?

I just woke up from sleep paralysis. I saw the weirdest bright lights and I hurt my neck during it. When I woke up I immediately started rebuking all evil things in the name of Jesus Christ and praying because I knew something wasn’t right. I was vibrating which freaked me out and I knew that it wasn’t right. It’s 4:23am right now. Oh I forgot to mention I couldn’t breathe during it! I don’t feel well enough to go to sleep right now after that…

Sleep paralysis is not nice. Especially after going through it a heap of times and knowing you’re in one. And the fact you don’t know what’s lurking when your stuck is terrifying. But with JESUS you can overcome it! I’ve been through it a heap, recently had one. It’s not nice. I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone.

Sleep paralyzing is AWFUL, it feels horrible and evil and so scary! I hate when it happened to me. I put my Bible on audio every night and eventually after many prayers and blessings and so much help it finally went away

I feel sorry for people stuck in this type of spiritual and intellectual bondage…I used to be. It will keep one from ever stretching one’s abilities or possibilities. Sleep paralysis is more than likely just a symptom of hypoxemia from sleep apnea. So, it is actually a gift, because you can do something about it before you start structurally damaging your heart. Go see a doctor and get a sleep study. You may need to get a CPAP or BiPAP machine to help you breathe while you sleep. P.S. I’m a born again Christian too. Go see a doctor.
