In this video, designer Jun Yuan walks us through his design for this new BTO in Sengkang. He also shares practical home renovation tips & styling advice. Stay tuned until the end of the video to see how he created a warmer palette bedroom that contrasts with the rest of the home!
A black and grey palette forms the base for this sleek and dark-toned home design. Materials such as stone, dark wood, and glass add interesting textures while ensuring cohesion throughout the unit. Thoughtful styling introduces a practical approach to the home’s aesthetic.
The foyer features a reed glass design for privacy, adding visual interest after showcasing an art piece. To create an open kitchen entrance, a triple-panel sliding door is used. The expansive dining table is styled with symmetry for a more formal feel. The carpentry, serving as a divider between the home entrance and living space, also functions as the TV feature wall. A large rug is employed to delineate the living and dining spaces.
In the bathroom, sleek Kompacplus countertops pair with matte wall tiles, and a convenient built-in niche for toiletries enhances the overall aesthetic. In the master bedroom, an L-shaped wardrobe with a smart design ensures every corner is maximised. The custom bed from Blafink anchors the room, complemented by black accents in styling.

Very good job! Guy knows what makes a good design unlike those beng IDs that give you set A or set B for every design. The ones where you walk into the house and see the typical shoe storage with niche for your keys. 1 thing to note though, that particular toilet door at the master bedroom looks aesthetically nice but is awful for its functionality. It doesnt drown noise at all so its super disruptive to your partner’s sleep. I think as ID is good to tell customers the pros and cons for such doors. Totally regret getting that in the past.

Whole unit no handles but right in the front, black handles were used. Awkward.
