    I like the fact that even though he is an extremely wealthy man, he is still steeped in tradition and never forgot his roots. There is a lot of character and meaning in the choice of materials and surfaces. Reflects a lot on him, his personality and character.

    This supermarket.. Made news early this year for giving their employees up to 16 month bonus. Its definitely rare for a company to reward their employees so much when they do well. That is amazing gotta respect that.

Read more news besides tragedy and natural disaster next time if you think news about rewarding employees is rare enough for you to be impressed Also when you get a job in the future you will realize that not all companies brag about every single thing that happens within their system.     Sheng siong is a gem cause they still sell childhood snacks. I wanted those Apollo cakes and I could only find them in Sheng Siong. Pls don’t change, we don’t need any more of those fancy supermarkets.

    I love how he honors his father's dream, to live in a big house with the whole family! 😊😔❤️ It's my mother's wish as well (before she passed) to be together or to be in one compound with the whole fam. Now it's my dream too to own a huge land one day, where my whole family/siblings can be neighbours and we can gather anytime we'd like to. For now, we live far from each other and visiting them is not that accessible.. I hope one day, I get to realise this dream too❤️.

    I understand the the spaciousness in this house. Because there's 3 generations staying there. Also it's a smart thing to do. When staying in under the same roof, you need your own personal space. To avoid conflict. If you have this kind of money you don't worry about cleaning ever. You have people doing that for you. And I appreciate the whole asthethic of the house. It's Modern but still alot of Chinese touches to it.

What I really thought was sweet was the sense of nostalgia he put building his home, He seems so proud of who he is and where he came from, And he makes sure he doesn't forget that every step of the way.     千倍!x1000!!! FYI there used to be a Saturday night Sheng Shiong show which features a lucky draw. If your shopping receipt at shengshiong gets picked up by the host, and if you’re lucky you can get to win 1000x the amount spent by the multiplier wheel (10x,10x,100x,1000x)

    Not true, some people I know personally who became rich through hard work (started poor) but now so arrogance and forgot their roots after their success. People are all different, not every rags-to-riches person will behave the same way.

    He seems very sweet in that he hung up pork stone at his stores to make his customers happy. He told his architects and builders to make his house pretty, to give his neighbors something nice to look at, so that they don't hate him and curse him with complaints. He keeps an ancient tree, to reflect on getting along with his brothers harmoniously. Diplomatic and courteous.

    Beautifully decorated house that is not overly lavish. What really struck me was fulfilling his dad's wishes of having a big house for everyone to stay together. There may be squabbles at times, but they always resolve it. Family comes first :)

    For Asian house with too many glass panels will be too hot during sunny days and air conditioning have to be on in the day time but for Singapore which is an island to have sea breeze day and night will not be too hot, nice house 🏡

    Reason He got so successful is his Son married the prime minister Lee Hsien Leong daughter and hence got exclusive rights to open up in government housing estates. I remember going to their 1st supermarket in katong as a kid in 2003/2004 it was a really small place with things stacked so high it looked like it will topple anytime.
