OMG is that Laura Morley??? I went to school with her and swam together growing up! If it is Laura tell her that Abigail and Emily say hi!!
“I can’t hear you, I lost all of my vision and sight.” I related to that on so many levels during practice 😂😂

Hey Cody! Wanted to thank you. Im 22 years old and have lost 75 pounds in the last 9 months (6’3 242-167) and your youtube channel has been an inspiration to get to the pool/backpack each morning. I was a year round swimmer from 12-16 and quit due to the pressure and hardship of training each day in a top group. I hated the pool for a long time and youve changed my perception on how to enjoy it. Keep it up

Nice job but 167 pounds is quite light for a 6'3. I'm 6'1, 185 pounds and am still considered skinny.

Flight team stand up!
I had started to swim in 1974 when I was about two years old. And I left my club when I was 15 - what a mistake. After 30 years of break I have taken the step back to the pool in 2015. I have been suffering from chronic pain since 93, since 2016 I take a wheelchair for long distances, before I had to walk 25 years on crutches. I struggled a lot with weight problems (232 pds in 2006, today I have 132), depressions, addictions (alcohol and pain meds) - but even when the pain is getting worse and worse, swimming helps me to stay alive. Restarting competitive swimming in 2016 helped me to overcome so many issues, and now I'm qualified for the French Nationals of the Masters in 2021. Looking already forward to swim against former Olympic swimmers, the stars of my youth and to feel that I'm still valuable despite of my physical in psychic problems. Dreaming of swimming the 200 m backstroke under 3 minutes in 2022 - there would be a little chance of winning a medal in the age class 50 to 55 :)
I'm gonna be honest, I've been super off swimming because I lost my motivation and my shape in quarantine. I started doing weights and gained muscle, but I lost endurance and those things. In fact I am focused on gaining muscle, I don't know why but that idea got into my head as my new objective and I think it's fine, because I like it. But watching Cody's vlog reminds me everything I love about swimming and makes me want to get back to training and doing swimming.

Another inspirational vid
The pool that I have been swimming at for the last 9 years just reopened yesterday. Walking back in there brought back so many good memories, it was so nice to get back in the pool after like 7 months.
checking in Cody. finished D1 4 years. I was just in an auto accident, I was on the bike. I have a surgery ahead of me. I haaaaate being injured but I'm glad to see you smiling face through all the adversity

the air
A few years back I got back into the pool 11 years after my Senior season in High school. I was finally getting consistent last fall and into this Spring when COVID hit (I was up to 3600 yards each day and had lost 40 pounds). Finally back to 2500 yards the last two days after getting back into the pool in August. Thanks for the inspiration and for helping keep me motivated!
Yep lose sense in arms and legs now and again! What about the emptiness in your stomach? You are such an inspiration for me. Thanks Cody

It's your decision, or course. But I'd love it if you keep the swearing to yourself... I love watching your vlog with my 4 year old and he *loves* watching "Mr. cody". With pools closed it's the only way to expose him to swimming. But I don't ever watch anything with swearing with him. Call me old school. It's just my vote.
