I didn't see SLAYER until 99. They definately converted me to fanship after experiencing them in concert. My girlfriend and I were on our way home from Ozzfest 99 afer having just seeing SLAYER on the bill, and she called a radio station phone line and won tickets to a SLAYER show at a club as headliner's 3 days later. The smaller more intimate venue was WAY better, they destroyed the place for well over 2 hours.

I got some cool 😎 bootlegs in my Slayer collection. I have the amazing Jeff Hennemen Seeds of Horror bootleg on Vinyl [also the CD and t shirt, lol]. The artwork is done by A. KRAMER , its my favorite Slayer bootleg that i own. I have a bunch of live show bootlegs. I have ignored my records for 5 years , i am currently reorganizing my collection. Your videos are cool 😎, i am a new subscriber. Btw, LOVE your set up. I NEED proper shelving 😢

The 80s concert scene was unreal. I grew up in the Bay Area. GenX 1969. I saw Metallica with Mustaine at the Stone. Saw Slayers first gig at Ruthies. Maiden, Ozzy, Priest, Venom, Death Angel, Merciful Fate, Exodus and the list goes on. Great SLAYER collection. I've seen them at least 15 times. RIP HANNEMAN!!!

Nice!! I am GenX '74. Growing up we saw the progression of metal! I lived in Massachusetts, watching 👀 grainy VHS 📼 boots and dubs of bay area Exodus shows, I was so jealous 😫- I wanted so bad to live in the Bay Area. I will never forget when Scream Bloody Gore was released, my friend loaned me his COMBAT cassette and I dubbed it. I was blown away by how heavy it was, than the VOCALS 😮 - it was something NEW, I played that tape to death! I miss being young

I know, you meant Metal Massacre III (3 not 2). Slayer's very first single release, "Agressive Perfector" is track #1 on the compilation album of new (at the time) & mostly not yet signed metal bands only ever heard elsewhere if you had seen them live at a club gig or happened to find em on a recordable tape you traded for. I was just 11 in 1983 when was checking for new music at my local mom & pop record store & came across the compilation tape. Never heard of any of the bands on it before, but the bands' names & song titles was all I needed to read to make my decision to buy it. I took it home popped it in my tape deck & was blown away by the first track by some band called "Slayer". I was immediately hooked on their sound & wanted more but, this was even before their debut album was released. So I couldn't find anything else by this new band because of that for about 6 or 7 months til December when "Show No Mercy" came out. Obviously I was not disappointed & it was worth the wait. Well, long story short, I'm nearly 52 now & I can say Slayer has been with me for their entire career & existence & I've proudly been with them just about all of my life. Through every up & down in my life, whichever year, SLAYER was there & a welcomed part of it!

I went to Slayer concerts three or four times at the Country Club in Reseda, and I believe the Olympic Auditorium, both in CA, 84/85/86. Good times. Before then, hardcore punk - during and after, every genre. Good video - subscribed.

Hell yeah. I also have that vinyl. It came out in December of 1983 and was limited to 5,000 units. For those not aware: the first 5,000 units shipped of Show No Mercy in 1983 had “Satan Laughs As You Eternally Rot” etched into the runout on one side of the vinyl. 🤘🤘
