Bent to fly just played on a local rock station. .it brought tears to my eyes..my 17 year old son just left for the air force. .lyrics were perfect for what I'm feeling. .love this song

This song has everything to rightly proclaim it a masterpiece.; great powerful vocals, Slash's superb melodic guitar, great lyrics and a a beautifully emotional song.

I firmly believe Myles Kennedy has the best voice in rock music.

I'm a somewhat new fan of Slash and Myles Kennedy but as I found out they're huge animal lovers, and wrote a song about elephant poaching I instantly fell in love with their music. Plus I'm a huge rock and metal fan and in the interviews I've seen them in, Slash and Myles seem like very compassionate and humble people irl.

Myles Kennedy has such a good voice. Best tenor vocalist in rock/metal music!

This song. This song makes me want to stop what I'm doing and sing whenever I hear it. The lyrics are amazing!

Axl was always fucked up :P Who knows maybe they'll put out some good stuff. His voice is still there (I've been told, honestly have not been fucked with listening to any of is recent stuff), although his looks have.... :b

I only heard this a few times on the radio. 1st time I heard it my ears pricked up. Couldn't find out who it was or what it was called. Looked up a line from the chorus that stayed in my head and found it. Yay. This is a GROWSE song, love it. And I only mainly listen to old music from the 70's. They nailed this song, bloody well done !!!

I had to come here and look this song up, because (yep, I'm an old guy) I could have sworn that this was recent Uriah Heep making a comeback with Bernie Shaw on vocals. Of course, nobody reading this will know what I'm talking about, but I'm posting this on the off-chance that maybe, just maybe, someone else besides just me will see the similarity in vocal style. So far, nobody but me thinks so. And if that's also the case here, I'll just plead dementia, and continue on with my life. I will just add that this song is seriously good. When I first heard it, I thought, "Damn! This is the best song Uriah Heep has released in 30 years!"

"No way this is recent, as it sounds exactly like rock from 20 years ago.", was my thought until now. I didn't even knew that Uriah Heep was the name of the artist in question.
