I saw her at Lollapalooza (Kansas City) in 1996, and she shut down the main stage from the second!! Possibly one of the best female vocalists EVER.

Why don't people talk about her? She's an insanely gifted vocalist. Amazing talent.

I absolutely love this woman's voice! Haven't heard about her in years, hate to say I forgot about her for a while. Just saw that she played on Slash's album... now I'm all up on it. Unbelievable talent! And Slash... he' gets better every year. Slash + Hart = unfuckingbelievable!!

The song + the guitar + the voice = Awesome Salad

+bws1971, As a guitarist, I''ll let you know that a player's tone is in his/her fingers. Page wouldn't sound quite right playing "Welcome to the Jungle" either. Slash and Page are both legendary, but different.

Led ZeppelinFan you are very correct. It almost sounds like Slash is too stiff and doesn't have enough emotion in this song making it sound and feel less vibrant than the song should be. No one by can play Like Mr. Page simply because they aren't him.

Unbelievable vocals... saw her in the mid 90s in SF and was blown away. She got better!

I just discovered Beth Hart yesterday by accident! Don't you hate it when you stumble upon a treasure trove like Beth that's been around for ages and you never heard of? Maybe because I've been living abroad for the last decade! What impresses me most about Beth besides her monster talent is that she's as genuine and real a human being as they come. Her rawness formed by decades long struggles with personal demons makes her that much more tantalizing. As to Slash, of which I'm a huge fan, he kinda fell short of doing this song justice! It was good, but certainly not wow, especially his last solo run during the outro where he ran down the scale pattern at blazing speeds. It just didn't suit this classic rock song by the Led IMHO.
