I'm totally with you. it's like it externalized the inner noise and chaos, and massages the brain gently. as scratching an itch. it probably has to do with high electrical frequency in the prefrontal cortex. I can sometimes sleep with some albums like "pathology - awaken to suffering", or "guttural engorgement - slow decay of infested flesh"... although I'm not too fond of this type of somewhat artificial sound, I like it really raw, organic and filthy, disgusting as they say. it's really a matter of nuances, but it boils down to the same thing.
