It's truly a miracle to see so many great videos of Slade on YouTupe. In the 70s I didn't even dare to dream of it. Thanks!

I was blessed to be the right age to grow up with SLADE through their entire career and was especially pleased as punch when they went on to prove themselves as an awesome live hard rock band in the early eighties sharing bills with the likes of AC DC and Whitesnake who were both phenomenal at the time! Actually I just realized that feat would not have even been possible with the Beatles the Stones, Bolan, or Bowie with their own catalog of lighter tunes, and NO ONE but the Rockers witnessed it.

Love it and them since '73, shame went out with a whimper as deep wounds set in. Never will be a reunion which is a shame but this about Bob Geldof is. Hidden gem. Agree about Live Aid, shame that

Rouges Gallery is a great Slade album given five stars by the music critics, yet failed to sell, just like this superb song, as much as it hurts to say, Slade do not have the great fan base to support them like they once had.

+Peter MacPherson Never heard this Slade tune before. It's not on Rogues Gallery version released in the USA. Rogues Gallery sold few copies here; one thing wrong with that fine LP was it's poor quality recording...the bozo's at the studio really messed up; it's unlistenably distorted beyond belief. How the Slade boys ever allowed this product to end up mastered like this is a big question. Easily the best Slade album of the 80's; too bad it was ruined by low tech recording equipment and personnel at the controls.... I wonder how the re-mastered LP sounds; and if it has been repaired satisfactorily to make it worth another purchase......

I made a song that sounds similar to this but it's totally different I searched in internet to see maybe I was sub consciously influenced by some song. And internet lead me here. Though my song is totally different but lil part of melody sounds similar. If I ever releasey track I will come back here to add link.

@john0the0bastard Hahah yes John I knew I wrote his name wrong after I posted it. It is Noddy Holder and not Nobby LOL!!! You are so right. They are way too underestimated while they had so many hits during their career. The Slade sound is the best for me. I love this band still today and listen to them very often
