Thanks, that's always my goal. I will keep everyone up to date on longer performance. I have been continuing to test and have gotten some misreads here and there but mainly only on poor contact shots, etc. I have remained impressed with the number of shots it has read. The club distance you hit on THE TRAK, is it the same as the distance on the course?

What was your swing speed with the driver on THE TRAK

2023 07-23 17:32. Excellent review Roland. The only thing I felt where there was no improvement was the complex setup. I agree with you that the software is much better than I have found on my GC3. I think you will find that it is even more impressive with SIM SW. If I had it to do over I would have upgraded my “original” SkyTrak to the Skytrak+ rather than spending twice as much on the GC3 - honest buyer’s remorse. I feel that having a true “average” golfer do the review is more helpful than some of the polished reviews allowing me to concentrate on the product not on the reviewer.

I have the new Skytrak+ and with the tgc2019 after about 3 or 4 holes it freezes up but they have updated the software but I have not had a chance to try it out yet.

I have my setup all ready to go and I've been literally waiting for your review on this launch monitor. Also, how it compares to the BLP and the Uneekor Eye mini. I trust that you'll give your honest opinion. I'm interested in how all these connect to the different (popular) simulator software. I'm leaning towards the Eye Mini for that reason based on what I've read but I'm going to wait for your reviews. Thank you so much for keeping it REAL. I'm a little better golfer than you, but still hit the same crappy shots from time to time.

good evening have you had a issue losing power when connected using surge protector for main power and unit plugged into usb first i thought it was usb extender cable nope then surge protector nope was doing same thing when plugged into wall outlet i lose a percent every 10 minutes it charges fine but when in use lose power is this normal sorry for long message

How do you get the data to project on a screen? Is that a complicated process. Thank you. Great information. Makes a great gift for my dad.

So for aligning the device.. square with the target (you are using the center of the screen) or square with the impact screen? If you set up a second alignment stick and made them parallel wouldn't your laser dot be pointing left of center of your screen?

I've never really got that technical with it in all honesty. The best method I've found is to align it with the center of the screen parallel to my feet when approaching the ball. Then I hit about 5-10 chip shots straight as possible and make sure the ball on the screen reflects what I'm visually seeing. Once I lock in a position I feel is accurate I normally mark the foot of the Skytrak or Skytrak+ device with a piece of tape on the floor so I know where to align it each time I have to move it so it goes straight back to that spot next time.

What size enclosure are you using? I'm curious because I have one which is kinda square and I cant get the 4:3 aspect ratio of my projector to fit nicely on screen. What projector do you use?

Mine is the SIG10 enclosure from Shop Indoor Golf. It is 10 feet wide by about 8 feet, 4 inches tall. I am pairing it with the Panasonic VMZ51u and setting it up was a breeze. A true square (8x9, 9x9, etc) will typically always have a letterbox on the top and bottom due to the throw ratio of the projector being 4:3 and not 1:1. does this work in a garage with Florescent lights? I have a golf mat and a net in my garage and would setup up a large screen monitor + laptop to use with the ST+

Florescent lights should not cause any issues with the Skytrak+. I have used mine in my Dad's garage that had several and that did not cause me any problems with it. Using a computer HDMI out to Projector HDMI in port. You can use an Ipad with Skytrak and use a USBC to HDMI Adapter or Lightning to HDMI adapter as well. Lastly you can also buy an item like this for the projector and stream to it wirelessly: shopindoorgolf.com/products/wireless-display-adapter?aff=160

Yes, these are certainly not toys. Skytrak+ is a very good device and has several features for working on your game where you will see actual improvement such as the practice randomizer. Bro, i was looking for someone to test launch monitors with mishits and bad shots, that was very helpful. If someone wants to improve and the lm reads all shots as good shots, that would be detrimental to the game. I really would like to see if it reads massive slices or hooks. Any idea?

Oh it does, believe me. We've put it through the test with just our normal shots...lol. The biggest misreads you'll get with the Skytrak+ would be with topped golf shots or with flop shots with wedges. It does still have some misreads here and there. Very subjective but my gut reaction would be no in all honesty. The BLP even has one extra camera. Is there some reason you cannot play TGC2019 with BLP? I have not unboxed that one yet. What are you using with it now?

Can the lauch monitor be connected to personal projector or am i limited to having to use sky track projector?

Skytrak actually doesn't have their own projector. The image from Skytrak can connect to and Ipad, Phone or computer. From there you connect that device to a projector via an HDMI cord or wireless display adapter to a projector to get the image. You can basically use any projector out there and it should work but if you want one to fit a certain screen size get with me and I can help give you ideas on good projectors to select.

Curious as to your PC specs (graphics card, RAM etc.) I’m about to upgrade from original Skytrak via iPad to Skytrak + with PC in order to take advantage of better graphics.

When I go into alignment mode on my Skytrak+ I do not see the 2 red dots projected like the original Skytrak would do. Anyone else same???

I have the original Skytrak and just purchased the new Skytrak+. Does my game improvement plan and my TGC19 subscription plan auto transfer to the new Skytrak+?

I don't believe so. They will still be tied to your old Skytrak. You might have to reach out to TGC to transfer the license and I believe you can go on to Skytrak's website concerning the game improvement plan. If you can't transfer it yourself on there they do have live chat and were able to help me in the past.

Skytrak support transferred my subscription plan from my original Skytrak to my new. Skytrak+ Support was very helpful and quick to respond.

How do you have the projector set up? above? behind? on the side?

I have it ceiling mounted about 14 feet from the screen. Literally almost directly in line with hitting strip on the floor but about 3 feet back.

So why is this one set up in front of the swing and others go behind? Is this better and does it save space?

The Skytrak+ does not directly connect to the projector. It will connect to the PC or to an Ipad and then you connect that device to a projector either via an HDMI cord or through a wireless display adapter so that you can mirror your device to the projector directly. How far are you standing from the screen? With the Skytrak+ does it matter?

Can you run gs-pro with an ipad?

Unfortunately as far as I am aware GSPRO must be run with a gaming PC due to its high graphics requirement.

Yes, you can run it with Skytrak+ and their app on IPAD. You can also use it with E6 Connect but graphics would be better on a gaming PC. @@ryanmcdonnell665
