Have had mine for 3 months now. I live in snow/cold climate and absolutely love the skytrak. It is amazing and feels super accurate to my outside ball flight. 100% worth it.

I have had my Skytrak for almost 4 years now. You are absolutely correct it is worth it 100%. My only disappointment is with the spin decay rate not being fixed this next update. I hit into a net and watch the ball flight on a small TV connected to my iphone. You are going to use equipment. I have had to rotate my net and mat but hey at least I get to hit golf balls when ever I feel like it. The amount of information the Skytrak will give you back about your shots is almost an overload. You get to understand and try things you just wouldn't be able to at the range. Great video keep up the good work.

Nice. I recently bought one second hand but for less than 50% of the price. I got not only the unit but also a "old" projector / screen / stands / matt / div cables :D Will play around with it today :D Where i live we got long winters so i hope to find much use of this.

This is invaluable information. Great stuff…many things I wasn’t accounting for when investing in this…on the mat, you can trim off the worn part and stick it behind you, sort of like a conveyer belt. Just make it wide enough so your feet fit on it…your matt will last a bit longer!

Tried that but your feet are then in the rut... Also it's fixed in place so it doesn't move around on the smooth concrete floor when moving around

ive had mine a year now, its fun when it works and seems very accurate, it does miss shots and freeze alot though and has connection problems everytime i use it. i hope the new one is better with these issues

Skytrak is very very good for irons and drivers. Shot shape is nearly spot on but distance is a little lower for me as compared to the range. Putting in TGC2019 is fine for me - I find it equally challenging to putting on the course with TGC default settings. As loft increases (wedges), however, so do the occurrences of Skytrak missing the shot. This is especially true when I'm using TGC 2019. Comparatively, the Skytrak application seems better at not missing higher loft shots which leaves me asking... is it the unit or the software causing the misses? One last observation is some of the Trackman vs Skytrak reviews were done prior to the spin decay fix. These reviews generally showed Skytrak more generous with distance than Trackman with very similar shot shapes.

Agree, my driver numbers are a little down on the Skytrak but the irons always seem spot on to me...

I don't have the space in my house. I'm wondering if it could be used in the garden where I have a mat and net setup (and also have power and 4G internet in the garden)

Yes it can be used outside off a mat, you just need a good contrasting background behind you so it can pick up the ball flight data

I have had my SkyTrak for a couple of months. I am finding that a number of shots are missed/not recorded. I have tried positioning the ball in different positions. Any suggestions.

HI Does anyone know if this will work without a constant wifi connection including the downloadable software ? I'm building golf sim shed at the bottom of the garden with no wifi. Will have projector and gaming laptop with the software on but just wondering if you need a constant internet connection throughout or once downloaded can you use offline including the 2019 Golf club app with courses. Thanks

What would you say the plus or minus of accuracy of the driver is with the Skytrak?

It's hard to put a number on it but my irons and Hybrids seem very accurate to real world and I trust the distances. My Driver always seems to be down by quite a lot, maybe 15-20 yards from what Arccos GPS was saying my real world number is. Not worked out why but also never bothered me much as I don't practice driver much in my studio to be honest

Hi Mike No it has no data on strike on the club face. It does have some clubhead data like speed and face angle but they are estimated. Skytrak gathers all ball data accurately and then estimates clubhead data based on those numbers. Hope that makes sense..

I've read/heard reports of SkyTrak struggling with misreads and inaccurate numbers at higher swing speeds, usually with driver. What's your driver swing speed and have you noticed any issues?

I have had no issues with mis reads or accuracy but I am a 50 year old golfer with a decreasing swing speed. Skytrak only estimates club data and registers actual ball data so your club head speed is irrelevant.. It's all about your ball speed, I only get to about 145mph .

Yes absolutely 100% - If there are any issues it will be at much higher ball speeds than that.

I've seen videos were they have problems but they have the skytrak set too high off the ground and not level with the hitting mat. mrshortgame has a video comparing it to a trackman and the numbers are very close.

Has your TGC glitched while you are playing ? Mine has stopped during a game and won’t restart….it is not the PC issue

Thanks for the comment Nicholas. If you are going to turn the mat you have to do it regularly, when i turned it round my feet were in the rut I had worn out on the right hand side.

Can you recommend a gaming PC that works well? This is the one part that I'm clueless on.

Sorry Ryan it's not my area of expertise either. I took the minimum requirements from the skytrak info to a computer shop and asked them to build a PC with a spec just above that.

Is it right it is less accurate with the steel case?

8k later, money well spent. It was odd to use at first, hitting inside as you feel more careful not to hit anything. When you feel comfortable using, it’s a changer.

@@GolfQuestChannel my main purchase was for my two daughters 10 & 8. Both been playing since 6 and take lessons. This is a future investment for them. They have picked up the game fast and play very well. My space can’t accommodate left handed and right I will have to move the heavy mat sadly. My friend has a simulator and a pice he modified on his old mat that was worn. He replaced that area with a divot action mat (strip) to simulate divots. Saves energy to your hands and better feel. If you have a cheaper mat to start. Many new mats have gotten better. Thanks for your great review that I watched

Not measured but I think it has estimated. Not sure on the new Skytrak + as I have not used that unit

Easy fix for the mat wear

This video is a year old but just turn the mat 90° to avoid wear, I assume it’s a square?

Hi Zac Yes the problem with that is the wear and uneven surface is right where your feet are which feels really off putting. The problem is mainly caused by the limeted space in my room. With more space I could use a bigger mat and move the skytrak around more..

Yes I should have done that regularly in hindsight, now when you turn it round your feet are on the uneven groove when hitting woods and it's very disconcerting.

Very nice, but you left out the cost of buying a projector. Most important.

Or you can do what I did and not even go with a projector. With the shot delay anyway, it's no big deal to look at a tv mounted on the wall to view the result of your shot.

More than half of his cons and criticism are the cons of golf simulators not skytrak in particular
