OH MY GOD I just realised something. I have goosebumps. At 3:38 when he says “I just don’t know how to leave them you know” he begins to get up and TAKE THE SCARF OFF! That’s representative of Conrad getting out of the car because he didn’t want to go through with it! Literally the hairs on my arms are standing to attention. And then for that awesome instrumental portion afterwards, “Michelle” has a *really* satisfied look on her face as the actor for Conrad begins to fall down to the floor again. Amazing. How many times I’ve listened to this song and watched this video and I haven’t caught that until now. Edit: I also reckon the part where she screams I love you now die at the end is when Michelle pretends she’s sad.

It's a dark world we live in. Skynd is not afraid to aim a spotlight at the place that we all like to pretend doesn't exist. I'm here for it. I love it. It's far past time that someone used art in a tasteful way to make us not forget that the real monsters aren't the ones under the bed.

This is exactly what I was thinking. This is true art...very well made, thought provoking and unsettling. The combination of which Makes IT fascinating. It reminds me of Edwin Morgan's poetry when he was writing snap shot poetry...No celebration nor condemnation just what happened at that particular moment. Bravo Skynd.

To make a song composedly entirely of her text messages is artistic freaking genius. And this video I actually cried. Especially the part 'turn it you'll be free, turn it on you'll be happy'. Just the symbolic representation of Conrad is heartbreaking. I struggle with mental illness/depression and this song man... hits me so hard. Very good job Skynd.

I just watched the documentary "I love you, now die". her lawyer was convinced that it wasn't her fault but Michelle knew 100% of what she was doing. She pushed him to get back into that car, he was scared and started to back out and she ORDERED him to get back in the car and kill himself. I just don't understand why she never called the cops or even thought to get him some help. So tragic, rest in peace Conrad.

He believed that she really loved him and that this was the best thing for him. I think what saved me is I called her an hour after I took the pills and told her what I did. I love how Skynd's makeup in each video represents something about the crime. In the video for Tyler Hadley, it was a big "NO" and a big clown like smile, representing the triggers/motives for his actions. (He was restricted by his parents and then went for the crazy freedom of a party). In this one, it's entire white, no black lipstick or anything. My interpretation of it is that Michelle thought she was innocent and pure because she didn't get her hands dirty. Plus it adds to the overall foggyness that is of the form of death that Conrad suffered.

pfft, "her sins". This is actually the weakest and least interesting topic and character out of the band's videos yet. "Her sin" is that they both were edgy teenagers with mental issues and both of them were on psychiatric medication and both of them had suicidal tendencies, so, like, what's so special about this? A suicidal girl urged a suicidal guy to commit suicide and he commits it... what a surprise. Meanwhile such character like Gertrude Baniszewski exists (she was a babysitter who convinced 10-15 year old kids to torture and murder a girl called Sylvia Likens that she was supposed to look after for several months, and forced Sylvia's own sister to take part in systematic several month-long torture)

Especially when you're not mentally well yourself. Who knows how many times he'd done that before. Maybe she really did think death would be the better option. Maybe she did try getting him help before but he refused. We don't know everything. What she did was wrong, yes, but she's not some evil being to me. After they've been signed it's like, who the hell is this??? Although, there may be a few black sheep labels that allow the creativity and original personas to exist, but they are usually created by the artists themselves backed by a producer whose interest is in the artists and not how to assimilate into the mainstream fad.

I've gone down the Conrad and Michelle rabbit hole and there's A LOT of coincidences with her obsession with glee and Lea Michelle. I read their whole texts transcripts not just the last day of his life, but months and months before. Here's what I've come across so far. 1. Michelle said "Their song" was a lea michelle song about Corey Monteith ("you're mine"), also saying the song she made about his death ("if you say so")reminded her of him.2. She used lea Michelle's actual quotes on her and Corey's relationship (when he was alive) and her grief over losing Corey to conrad like they were her words and she also did this to other people when talking about Conrad. 3. When trying to give suggestions on ways to commit suicide she asked if he could could get heroin to OD on , which is how Corey died. She never mentioned any other illegal drugs to try. 4. She was pushing him so much harder than usual on the day of and before, because it was the anniversary of Corey's death. Conrad passed July 12th, Corey passed the 13th. There's A LOT more, but this is just what I can think of now. I'll update more. It seems the death of Corey and his character Finn on glee and her obsession with lea michelle was more real to her than conrad was. She saw how lea was getting tons of sympathy and love and I think she wanted to be her. Some kind of twisted munchhausen by proxy and glorifying the narrative of someone losing their "love" to suicide and everyone beingthere for her, their sympathy and attention, thats the key word... attention. Totally twisted and sick.

Ultimately the state punishes her as guilty while exonerating itself of any guilt over the absolutely broken and dysfunctional healthcare (and especially mental healthcare) system we have in the United States. If this country actually gave a fuck about people's lives, Conrad wouldn't have been in such a vulnerable position to be pushed towards suicide by Michelle, and Michelle may have been given better resources to allow her to live in the real world rather than a fantasy one. I've been in this suicidal place and the resentment I have towards the people who tried to "help" me hang onto existence within this nightmarish world is real and valid. Actually, it is the entire society that is sick, we have inter-generational trauma to deal with, we have incredible atrocities and genocides and other wrongs that need to be taught and never repeated, focusing on just one individual and the texts she sent to her friend is extremely myopic. It IS possible to live happy in this world, either by ignoring the brutish contradictions that crush people under it's weight, or accepting it and finding a rationale to continue anyway, but I can't fault anyone who wants to check out.

@@KtVogtF I couldn't have said it better myself. I've been there too, and I completely agree on our current mental health issues. Its so hard to get proper help, and it's stigmatized to the point of people not wanting to admit they have mental health issues. I've been dealing with PTSD and DDNOS, as well as severe anxiety, depression etc. since an incident when I was a child. We definitely need to work on our mental health care to maybe prevent situations in the future.

SKYND shines a light on many crimes that otherwise would be forgotten. She brings the victims to life and gives them a place, a meaning. I really don't know how to explain it. She brings the emotional and pain through art and dance. She is a genius, and I can't go a day without listening to them. I will say I have a favorite but I love them all. Chris Watts hits different though. Different style, I think because it was children She has the tone set different. It made me tear up...males me tear up every time I listen.

This one hits really hard. I didn't watch the HBO documentary beforehand so I did a bit of research and I stumbled upon the texts transcripts and it broke my heart... She was obsessed with "helping" him end his life. Everyday they talked, she tried to push him... The sick thing is, she claimed she loved him and wouldn't ever leave him while trying to convince him to commit suicide. The poor guy was desperate and he died thinking at least his girlfriend cared about him. I probably wouldn't be there anymore if it weren't for my girlfriend that somehow managed to make me want to live again. And it breaks my heart to see such a grim and twisted version of what I've lived.

Michelle honestly is a victim. His parents are to blame. He suicide baited her for years. She gave in because of the emotional abuse. You can say why didnt she leave. She clearly loved him, she turned mental because emotional abuse. Crazy behavior like that just doesnt come out of no where. His father and mother checked out completely. His mother even KNEW where the suicide site was and his father beat him. There is way more to this case, what she said was horrible. But honestly she is a victim. Circle of abuse.
