Even the most famous skateborder of all time said he was afraid to do it "again" let alone Sky is doing it for the first time just a couple of months after an accident that nearly killed her. She even has a brace on the arm she broke because of the accident.

I'm not a skater, but I have to say that I LOVE how encouraging the whole skating community is! I've watched a bunch of different videos and every time I see someone trying something new everyone around them is so excited and encouraging. I love how these two literally have the entire skateboarding and surfing community behind them. It's impossible not to smile seeing the new generation getting the torch from legends.

“I think she’s gonna make it”. Little dude was emotional for her. You could tell he believed in her but there was that fear for her safety creeping in and it shook him. You couldn’t ask for a better support structure for attempting a momentous feat like this. She smashed it, but her surroundings provided the absolutely crucial support she needed to take that leap.

That was incredible!! Well done Sky 👏🏻👏🏻🎉🎉

Sky is awesome, but I also have to give props to Tony. I grew up in the same era, though slightly younger than him. I’ve skated for companies like Venture, Stubbies and Fogtown. I quit skating in my 20’s but still have a few boards lying around. I jumped on one, rolled down my driveway and almost killed my self. LOL. The fact that he’s doing what he’s doing at 52 is amazing.

I was pretty sure the young kid was her brother but, are her parents also in this Video? I think it's beautiful how Tony Hawk has a Skate Park in his yard & shares it with everyone. I'm assuming International Visitors are staying at his House. The whole thing is beautiful. Tony Hawk does everything he can to help out other Skater's, but why not he would get just as much back, if not more.

This kid is something else - I thought I was pretty fearless when I was her age but Sky leaves me in the dust!! Absolutely phenomenal skating.

I’ve literally watched this like 30 times. Sky is so awesome!!!

So inspiring, can’t wait to show my daughter when she’s home from school. Big-ups!

I'm a grown woman and I'm probably never going to skate because it's not my passion, but your bravery inspires me to take risks and work really hard to do the impossible. Thank you!

I love sky and her ATTITUDE....SMILES all the time. Even when she is scared. Parents should be proud.

She is the Next Tony Hawk! She is SO GOOD for her age! she is going to change the sport when she is older! As much shit as we used to get back in the 90's and 2000's Being a skater and hanging around skaters taught me more life lessons than anything else. Sure, we come off as Punks or vandals or anarchists, but Everyone is so accepting and supportive it really is just a VERY misunderstood group. Probably 2 of the most important things I learned were, to never give up, and to just accept people for who they are.

This girl is AWESOME!!!! That battle in your mind before you force yourself to do something so dangerous and life threatening is the biggest victory and rush. Sky is definitely a legend on the rise.

ahh sky is incredible!! Already going to the olympics at age 12, (happy late bday sky :D), skating with TONY HAWK, and also BEING SO STRONG, BRAVE, INSPIRING, and HELPFUL! I’m doing basketball for my sport and I used to fall and cry right away. But now I learned that you just have to try and try again. And then when I have small little injuries, I think about the ones you have and the pain you must go through versus mine. Plus now, I really wanna go to the NBA, not the WNBA. I mean there’s so many mixed teams of boys and girls, but they separate them at the end, which just doesn’t make sense. Hopefully, one day I’ll get that far and THANK you for helping all of us and do what we love ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️

I used to skateboard but I hit my head on the ground while trying to do a stunt and I need a new skateboard and they are expensive so I actually feel bad. Sky is absolutely amazing and cute as a shiny new brass button. It is amazing especially at a young age for girls to compete along with their male peers in a sport such as skateboarding as it can be a dangerous sport. I am 57 years old, but as a young girl I was a tomboy and thought I could do anything a boy could do and depending on what it was even better. You go, Sky!!! I am so proud of you as you are competing in a sport that is seen by others, outside the skateboarding world, that only boys can do. If only I was young again. I am so inspired by Sky.

She is definitely now a legit icon in the sport. Her medal run was sick.

I have been to elliot sloans house before so i know how big his mega ramp actually is, i was scared just to go up there but i cant believe sky actually dropped in on it. She is an insane skater.
