@@alexanderboytsov1748 Not sure. From my experience the TF2 community can be quite friendly. When i compared both i meant in a sense that both games are hard to kill.

Remember to thank the whales that blew wads of cash on the skullgirls mobile. Feeding the Devs during the time skullgirls fg was having trouble.

Thank you for recognizing the importance of the mobile game. The mobile game making a decent amount of cheddar for the money people laid the groundwork for them to take a chance on Annie. Thanks for her success, we now have an entire season of new content for a game that, for seven years, didn't see anything, in large part because the money didn't see the reward for such a massive risk until now. Bless the mobile game for getting the hype train back on track

@@Funewter I am *aware* of that. But there isn't a need to recover record voice lines when they can just get permission to use prerecorded dialogues of Soldier from tf2. But that is, if they can get permission, or get the idea to have Soldier as a guest fighter in the SG. 😒 Edit: Soldier's VA, Rick May died from Covid, specifically, not simply because of old age fyi.

Been playing since beta. The community of this game is so beautiful and helpful. There’s no like ‘gatekeeping’ and everyone plays to get better. I’m scared if too many people join though it’ll get a toxic player base

There is no need to fear, anime fighting game communities are very welcoming because the games tend to die out quicker then mainline games like SF. They want to bring as many people as possible.

Honestly a lot of interactions I had with the skull girls community has been toxic. Most players are fine. But there is a vocal subset who are extreamly bad. To try point I wanna Uninstall game. The thing is in other games you can just block and move on. But skull girls player base is so low blocking that person means you block your next 20 matches. So I welcome the new players

Skullgirls, much like it the titular villain, has a tendency to come back even when all thought it destroyed, living on in some form in another company that was involved with it

Litterally, this game *almost* made it to the mainstage at EVO; twice. It's just unluckiest game that deserves all the attention in the world. But i'm sure you know that.

what stings the most about Indivisible dying...is the promised Guest DLC I wanted to see Shantae animated by the Lab Zero devs only to have that promise shattered by MZ's treachery it destroyed me inside and seeing the aftermath for myself really made me sad but that's why Annie was that beacon of Hope the fanbase needed it sent the message that your dreams are coming true and we are making them happen

@@windermelon9567 basically an Egret fan character got canonised through a voiceline in one of Parasoul's blockbusters, but the dude sued to get money out of it then proceeded to violate his Non-disclosure agreement, which caused the team to just erase all mention of it in the game.

I'm happy that Alex Ahad is back, since he is the original creator of Skullgirls, despite recognizing Mike Z's important role in the game. And I'm loving Annie! She has Fireball, DP Command and a Batsu-like air kick.

Dude this video is truly a masterpiece, those 20 minutes were amazing, Skullgirls will never ever die! You need more subs

My ex bf recommended me this game. I wasnt into it at first but with a few times of playing it, I got hooked up and was playing daily (on IOS or Android). I still play the game but with difficult times and such, I rarely have time to grind on the game😔

Proud of the FGC. Great underdog story especially with so much competition at the time. Big paradigm shift too that we are willing to play an old game if it keeps adding content. Been playing fighting games since I was five. Skullgirls and Killer Instinct are really high up there in terms of craft for me especially with a North American flavour. Suck it Konami.

Heh I was like let's see if there is some news about annie, filter videos on today and kinda stepped on this video, really interesting i didn't know any of that, i just got my hands on 2nd encore recently and I'm loving it, getting more fighters will be awesome, good job on the video.

this was a really great video! since the frosty faustings trailer, i actually wanted to make a video similar to this, but this is incredible! it was definitely worth all the effort

I found this game this year when my friend was playing the mobile version and I made fun of it and criticized it, but he told me to give it a try so I did and I got hooked. I started to like the character design and the story So I soon got the Xbox version not long after and loved it even more. This game is great and I wish I found it sooner but I’m here for it now.

To be honest, I got it from the skullgirls wiki. Alex Ahad's departure from Lab Zero was shrouded in mystery were the only thing I could find about it was a short blurb basically amounting to creative differences during Indivisible. I assume his departure came with an NDA agreement between all parties so no one can say anything.

As far as I am aware that about his return in the wiki is probably misinformation but I guess we just don't know much. On twitter ahad seems to have distanced himself from skullgirls, not even tweeting about annie's release at all. It's a really strange situation, why would that be on the wiki

I'm sure as time goes on more and more information will come out, I too think it's strange how quiet everything is when it comes to post Lab Zero Alex, none of the staff called out Alex when the MikeZ situation went down, if Alex's departure was super negative it would have been very easy to take him down with Mike. I plan on redoing this video once I got some more video making practice under my belt, I hope we find the answers by then or better yet, I would be well known enough just to ask Alex himself.

@@ScrappySensei theres been rumors that he left on bad terms and did smth bad in general. its def not definitive but its super weird, i mean he was THE original skullgirls creator, and now hes nowhere to be seen. pretty sad, wonder if theyre ignoring his vision for the sequels and lore or if they alr got everything from him before he left

This was a great video, and now just 2 weeks ago, even more Skullgirls controversy comes up, it really never ends huh. Still love the game no matter what, it made me buy an arcade stick and it was the best decision I could've done for a new controller

I've just gotten into skullgirls mobile and it is the best mobile fighting game I have ever played and I love it!

i'm very very glad skullgirls is getting more content, this is the first fighting game ive ever known and its my favourite, i do still kinda suck tho, at least my best friend is at my skill level lol

I was just recently playing the IOS version, cause it kept showing up in KZread ads. I was curious to get it cause I've played the fighting game like crazy back in the day. So when I tried the IOS version, I expected coming in with confusion with the direction it took. I must say, the concept of the mobile fighting game is GENIUS! The easy controls, the special set ups, and the RPG mechanics fits beautifully. Just like how I've remembered it, but with a new spin. So getting back into skullgirls, and NOW hearing that Annie finally being released, I'm hyped! Annie's long awaited arrival to the fighting scenes isn't just a love letter. It's a *revival.* So happy to see that this game been fighting against the sands of time, to become timeless.

Solid video! Only issue is with the audio mix. Music is a but too loud, as it competes with the narration. Hope you keep it going!
