Am I the only one who doesn’t overlook how much of a badass Painwheel is? Yes, she got her life taken away from her. Yes, she got turned into a freak show. Yes, she got mentally shackled by Brain Drain. But does she spend most of her screen time moping? NO! She kicks ass, cuts Valentine to ribbons like she said she would, and, by the end of her Story Mode, she’s ready to get revenge on Brain Drain! She gets shit done!

Totally, in fact I admire Painwheel. After all the hell she endured, you can tell. Her voice, her body language, the scars and tacks in her body. It's made painfully clear she's in constant physical agony. Yet through sheer will alone, does she not only stand, but fight against her own brain. That takes a rare kind of spirit.

ned flandered Yes it does. They had no idea she was there daughter. They weren't thinking, "Now that our daughter's a monster, we won't accept her." It was more, "This crazy monster is claiming to be our lost daughter, jfc!" They will not accept her because they can't and won't believe she's who she claims to be, no matter how badly they may want her back. What, just because she said she was there daughter they were gonna be all, "this crazy monster that looks nothing like Carol is claiming to be her. Yeah lets totally let her in!" That's not how humans work.

Painwheel is probably the only one that I'd like to see rebuild her life after Skullgirls. Like, in the 7 years it takes before that artifact comes back, she finds a way to regain some of her humanity on her own. Damn girl needs a friend, I swear. I'd love it if there'd be a Skullgirls 2, and Painwheel comes back changed for the better, but still capable of fighting like the weapon they turned her into. Like, she looks almost normal, is trying to live as normally as she can, but has to keep repressing the murderous rages that sometimes grow in her. Have Brain Drain dismiss her as a failed project, but realize he can't kill her because she's too effective at defending herself now.

It's never been confirmed. However, I like to think it might have gone something like this... We both know Filia is granddaughter of Lorenzo Medici, and that Painwheel (or in this case, Carol), were friends. Perhaps something pissed Filia off with Carol, maybe an argument. Filia complained to her family, and unknowingly got her kidnapped by her family and sold as a slave. In this case, the people who bought Carol were Lab 0. If that was the case, it might have caused Filia to feel guilty over it and at some point met Samson, becoming his host and wanting to forget about Carol, hence the amnesia and why Samson didn't seem to want Filia to listen to Painwheel in Filia story mode. But this is just a theory with little basis. It could be anything until the creators say something about it

@@donovanng8797 On skullgirls mobile it is revealed that painwheel was with the kids that were kept by the Medici, like peacock, but then a scanner told Valentine that Carol was perfect for the "test" Brain Drain and her had, so she was instead taken to lab 0, while the other kids went with Avian, Valentine said to Brain Drain that she was just a girl, but he emphasized that the 7 year cycle was close to its end so they had no time to think about it.

So this is according to the cell phone game Skullgirls Mobile: One year before Filia lost her memory, Carol introduced a dog for Filia to adopt, along with its parasite, Samson. One year later, Carol was missing on an ordinary day, later was known kidnapped by the Medici gangs. What comes right after is Filia’s family was slaughtered by his uncle, Vitale Medici, and from his conversation with Marcus Medici, aka Filia’s father, it is known that he had cut the relationship with the Medici family quite long ago. Vitale brought Ottomo and killed both parent of Filia and the dog, after that, Filia lost all her memories.

This story is sad and all but why didn’t she remove her mask when she got home I mean yeah the giant blade on her back probably also would have been unnerving but a lot less than there daughter with giant perpelor blades instead of a vaguely mask figure with them since she CAN take her mask off she does it for her taunt

​@@retro9675 scps are just things that are anomalies in daily human life that are contained so they don't cause a panic or worse. technically if somebody was to make painwheel into a scp she'd fit in, a girl with a mask sewed(?) to her face who has a metallic pinwheel stuck in her back who can make spikes come out of her is pretty strange. i do agree that people don't have to make everything into a scp tho

Well, there are different routes, if you choose filia she becomes the skullgirl, but when you choose Carol(aka painwheel) it seems that she becomes the skullgirl

Tbh I love the ending shows carol is going after lab 0 and I always like the idea of the eyes change with the skull, makes them feel like there all having the Skullgirls blood inside them not sure if double has it tho.

I'm just going to out and say it: I would definitely trade places with Carol. She can live a normal life, and I get her powers, then again I would be a servant to Brain drain, but I'll figure something out, right?

I sure don't, and the same voice actress is still credited... she cries out in pain while fighting, but her speech had always been like this (though there was far less of it before this story mode update).
