Absolutely right and also love how you can just buy your way into the best Set ups and stuff 🙌

Im liking season 1 thus far. Played 10 hrs last night. Already unlocked the whaling armor from the ship tree. This method works. It's what i do for silver, too. U can knock out so much just by taking those contracts and farming while u travel about.

Infamy translates to .5 for ships your level and above, .4 for smaller level ships. That's what i've noticed so far farming.

I hope they fix the chat system cause some of the battlepass quest need another player to team up

If you have a group of friends to grind with the new npcs drop a captains head that spawns the new npcs in like every 2 minutes or so so if u run helm sell missions and look out for world events you’ll always be fighting and getting good loot on top of loads of infamy and just add in doing treasure maps in down time (no events or sells missions) and you can chip at that 30 maps challenge. I’ve already grinded out the 30 maps since I had 4 on me already and kept doing what I just said. I plan on doing the other challenges later on today as well to switch things up but I’m actually having a blast getting through these battle pass lvls

Slaughtered ships non stop since the beta.... All the loot is pretty much. Trash.

So the Smugglers Network guy(William Blackwood) is at both Helm locations. There is now a new icon at the top of the page when you go into your management secrion that allows you to see all the Season Pass stuff.

This is an update you have to complete the missions for Scorlock After I sank Louis ship . I got the smuggler way network.

Really appreciate the content! Your tips have helped me no end. Really enjoying the game. Not sure why it got such ropey [pun entirely intended] reviews.

I’m glad the videos help and you’re enjoying the game. I think people just jumped on the hate train for it, a lot of people are hating the game without even playing it and some people are giving it a negative review because they never got a free copy of the game

@dingdong89275 yes it was automatic, in ubisoft connect. Update downloaded mate, now can't launch. Plenty of others reporting it on Ubisoft's discord. It'll get fixed, just a matter of how long.

the event is just frustration. event enemys have way too much hp. toxic attacks are way too strong. you cant find a group for the boss etc etc

Its all about the Wailing Ward Armor (bracing pretty much negates damage they do, as it effectively nullifies poison), and The La Potence furniture piece that shows their weakpoints (so you can finally damage them decently with the typical builds...protip: they are weak to fire!), and on top of that said furniture *also* gives you a universal boost to damage across the board( both to the new enemy types as well as any other enemy in game you fight including other players!), as long as you hit weakpoints. It makes fire damage incredible on the new enemy type if hitting weakpoints that are now exposed, as well as other builds against non-seasonal enemies on weakpoints (think- Long Nines). Combined together they are a game changer and really make the new enemies no different than atypical non-seasonal rogues. I havent got the new weapon yet to chime in on that, as I have my ZamZam 3's which hit like a truck, and because I got the seasonal armor as a trade- so am working towards that still in the smuggler pass for a second armor piece to either have, or trade for some other cool stuff if say the seasonal armor is no longer available post season. A second one really will raise the bar on a trade, if so, as I am pretty sure that said armor will be worth its weight in gold then. Even more so once videos about how good that armor is start rolling out. Would be nice to trade for a LA Fluer (since craftable) and a black prince armor or ouroboros (also craftable). I would do that trade as it saves me the grind in that direction, for sure!

Thanks for the helpful tips! Killing every ship i normally sail by is really helping rack up extra infamy fast!

I played about an hour last night, its a lot of fun, never thought about the rogue ships thing, ill have to give that a shot!

@tonykeally1039 I'm pretty sure the mission is called arms of the nine but after you accept it fast travel to Necropolis and the ship you need to destroy is right around the corner. After you kill em sail back to Necropolis to drop the contraband off then fast travel back to Rahama to finish the mission. Shit takes like 5 min and she gives the mission over and over but you do gotta wait a little while in between lol

I have a lvl10 Brig and I'm getting annihilated by the pest ships in 3-4 hits, while I can barely scratch them. What am I doing wrong?

They’re tough ships, I’m not sure why they’re so strong but the best thing you can do is try running from them if you can’t destroy them and hope Ubisoft does some rebalancing

The pestilence effect is really devastating. Don't move at a slow pace or anchored to sit still. The pestilence effect lingers wherever it hits the water. You want to be moving quickly out of targeted green areas because of the lingering effect, so watch out for those pestilence guard towers. The initial attacks don't hurt much, but the pestilence will annihilate you

Will they include a way to buy smuggler marks for gold? Like 100 gold to 200 gold per mark? I have a job and cant grind enough to get all 90 marks. Maybe 50 marks if lucky

You can only buy 15 with the premium pass, there’s no other option and you have 90 days to get all 90 marks done, that should be obtainable with a job still

I have noticed that the smuggler pass has 90 days to complete but the store page with premium on it that lets u buy the smuggler pass has 83 days on it. Maybe the last week of the smuggler pass in late may or early june will update to let u buy smuggler marks witj gold. Bc when i hold the A button (xbox) to use a smuggler mark with no marks to use it sends me to the premium store page that lets u buy the pass with 83 days left on it and not 90 days

Is anyone else not getting the quests for smugglers?

I got the treasure maps from merchant convoys and the plaguebringers are a tough one because they’re quite a rare spawn

That’s a ghost ship contract which won’t be in the game until week 5 of the pass and the other contract (I think it’s called jaws of retribution) isn’t available until week 2

What’s the best thing to purchase for smugglers pass? Need 2 get lvl 45. Also what do u think best guns are? Ik scurlock, sea huntsman’s, and someone else all sell epic guns. Don’t want 2 waste points. Was gonna spend 5000 po8 for the epic ship but now is that ship worthless because of smuggler pass ship? Appreciate the help

1. Get the armor from the bottom tier of rewards and the schematics from the top tier, both at level 20 of each tier 2. The best guns depend on the type of combat you’re in 3. The Sambuk is definitely worth the 5,000 Po8 because of the fire damage buffs from the perk I hope this helps 👍

How are you getting 150 infamy per rogue ship? They all have the same infamy as any other ship. 50, no more than that.

The rogues that hunt you down during missions reward the higher infamy. I get 170 for most rogue ships now because I only fight them when they’re chasing me

So does 50 infamy translate to 50 smuggler points?

Yes but if you bought the premium edition you can use the smugglers token. There's also a a premium pass available

Get a Brigantine Ship. You can out run everything and pretty much out gun everything. If you fight, make them fast attack runs and be sure to brace. Learn to brace often and get your armor and weapons leveled as high as you're able. At least tier 2 weapons. Use your long guns for and aft, and I recommend Zamzama II for port and starboard, they really tear things up or culverine that do sail damage, they reload really fast. It's fun to see their sail spars collapse. Go with a mortar for your auxiliary weapon, they are easier to aim than the rockets, however there's a mission to take out towers with beehives. Pretty much use fire causing weapons. Fire damage really helps. Sometimes it's better to just outrun the Rogues because engaging you end up with having to fight about 6 of them at once and then a privateer joins. Those Sharpshooter Rogues hit a bit too hard. When you do a smuggler run to meet up with a cluster of smuggler ships, sink those bad boys, they are full of wealth carrying cargo such as pictures and booze and rum, opium and snuff materials. I don't know why snuff would be a smuggler item and I haven't found where I can manufacture it yet.

Don't just run from them. That's the reason why 37 rogue ships are sitting outside the port. That just makes it worse for any lower level ship. If you can't kill them, maybe try grinding for better gear before picking up your 8's

@@chrisferrentino5494 Everything is situational. No two scenarios are the same. I've been able to bypass the battles if I didn't want to fight or just have minimal battles. If you're in a ship that is same speed as theirs then you might as well fight, unless you can get to a group of islands to provide cover or exit their operating area.

Battle passes are lazy ways for devs to progress a game anymore I said what I said. Time to change it up devs
