The new front looks with the RS much better than with the “normal Octavia” !! 💪😍 In my opinion this facelift of the Octavia and the overall package is still matchless in the compact-segment!! Nice color and Review 😊

When I first saw it, I didn't like the new look, but it grew on me and now I like it better then the old model. Big thumbs up for Skoda for making LED lights standard! Also, good review.

I suppose it takes strong connections to get hired among many other capable designers, create this frontend, get it approved with all Skoda executives, win an award for it, and show up for an interview wearing green sneakers with a suit, and still keep your job, despite having the words "emphasize" and "dynamic" occupy fifty percent of your dictionary. I think all is well within Skoda.

Well done Holger! Nice review! I like the car, and think this front is much better than the rather boring front from before the facelift. The interior also looks very good. I like it. And Holger was having way too much fun, only to be bettered by cameraman Thomas, who seemed to be having even more fun! :-)

At first I disliked the front with passion, I then decided to still buy this exact same red car as the rest is outstanding - fantastic price value, loads of space, good visibility/overview due to big windows, sporty, well build quality, nice seats etc. On average 9l petrol consumption and after a few weeks of usage I have to admit that I started to like the front as well, it looks much sportier than the previous model, particularly in corrida red.

Love the current generation of Octavia vrs, especially the front end. The rear looks too friendly for me. If the rear lights were more rectangular as they are in Audi, it would echo the front. Otherwise it looks like a result of a compromise between two designers. Hope the next one sees the rear end matching the aggressive looks of the front.

'False News!' Great tyre-scrubbing exercise there by the entertaining Holgermeister. And Thomas! It looked like hard work. At 24:39 Holger talked about "comfort mode", we thought for a moment he might have switched the DCC to "comfort mode" - that may have been interesting! Many thanks Holger.

The designer says the front looks dynamic a lot i suppose it's better than saying it looks ugly.

Great review thanks. Have they sorted out the ride over the roughness of the existing version? You mention comfort, but how is the passenger comfort?

thanks Dave! As we already pointed out in the previous Octavia Facelift review, the riding comfort with the DCC was improved

Excellent review Holger! Octavia rs starts from 23k euros in Serbia, its exactly half the price of Golf gti which costs 46k euros.

Hi! Das passiert, wenn das DSG von sich aus schaltet, oder wenn du nahe desselben Schaltpunktes bist.. ich denke mal ca 4tausend und dann den Hebel ziehen

danke für die schnelle Antwort. in Skoda Foren wird stark über dieses Thema diskutiert . hattet ihr den Sport Modus an ? bzw . kann es sein das man das ,,furzen" nur in Verbindung mit der Fahrerprofilauswahl im Sportmodus hören kann ?

Holgar/Thomas, welche AGA bekommt der Handschalter/DSG - heisst, macht der Benziner jetzt serienmäßig Krach?

Sound wurde jetzt verbessert, und das DSG knallt/furzt beim Schalten. Der Aktuator müsste weiterhin an den Sport-Modus gekoppelt sein.

in dem Fall "furzt" er nur im Sport Modus ? Ab welcher Drehzahl zirka ?

This RS looks obviously stunning inside. But the exterior design leaves with no notable difference except the 18 inches tires that I don't really like because alloys could be deteriorated easily with the chicanes

Will there also be a SCOUT review ? 😀

Is he the father of the main host of Autogefühl? I am not sure if he has done many reviews so far, but his presentations skills and his ability to speak English aren't the best (yet). Maybe it will get better over time (i.e. @9:08min. "more smooth and more better...").

Stephen Butler yes, in the red car you will see the standard textile seats. Optional you will get alcantara seats.

I have the pre-facelift RS and I hate this new front with a passion... what I am mostly curious about and I have no seen mentioned anywhere is HOW did they achieve the wider rear track on the facelift... I want to transport that to my car ;)

Jaco2k I have the before RS facelift too. I don't like the new style much, maybe I can live with it when the time comes to get a newer car. Octavia RS is still a great model and shows what Škoda can do well.

Unfortunately car front is awful. But still the best car in its segment. better than jetta

In dem Video sind bei 8:23 beheizte Rücksitze zu sehen, die kann man doch garnicht bestellen oder täusche ich mich da, im Konfigurator finde ich sie nicht

If designers love the design of this car, you know that designer are all crazy. They don't have the taste of general public or customer. So don't relay on designers....

Octavia has been a victim of headlight weirdness all over the years. For my personal taste 2004 model was beautiful, 2009 was rather poor, 2013 returned to beautifulness, and now that.... At the same time, back of the car has remained more or less the same over the years. Dear designers, if you want to experiment with a car, please do, but there are more than just headlights to work with. May be these headlights would be great if the whole car design would support it. Or at least backlights. Currently it looks like some chinese weirdo. But again, this is just my taste and headlights don't make a good car bad.

Not sure the Skoda designer knows what dynamic is. It looks pig ugly. Terrible design. Destroyed the look of the car!

This is not Octavia RS 230. This is just Octavia RS.

As said in the video, the new Octavia RS has 230 hp in the petrol version. There is also a Diesel version. And there will be a 245 hp version. So by saying Skoda Octavia RS 230, everyone knows which one it is - despite 230 being a special edition in the Pre-Facelift Model.

Everyone would know if the video's title was the Octavia RS 230 bp or Octavia RS TSI and not like previous versions Octavia RS 230 with VAQ.

Dynamic, dynamic, dynamic... He was repeating the same words. Maybe to excuse himself for awful facelift. I was so going to buy the Skoda RS but surely moving to the Golf GTI. Adios Skoda!

Tiguan R-line also but I meant that is a standard engine nothing special for a RS version ,GTI has 320 HP and cupra 300 HP!!

this is a diesel! can you understand it??? diesel is not good for sporty cars! also GTI has 230hp, not 320, lol
