SUV can be beautiful, well Skoda can definitely make one, with all the bells and whistles (tech/features/looks/practicality/both Petrol & Diesel powertrains/DSG AT), if this can't make it a winner then nothing can. Car of the Year 2017, undoubtedly !

Beautiful car!!! and no way it looks small. Its a very good looking car and carries the stance which it promises. Well compared to Ford Endeavour, the Kodiak has a much better rear look( carries the bulk well). Toyota Fortuner is no where close to how good this Skoda looks. But if this one beats the other two in India depends upon the price point this one enters the market. According to me i cant imagine it below 40 lakhs( Top spec). Also its lower ground clearance is no deal breaker, because hardly anyone who can afford it takes it off road. Its just for those enthusiasts that it matters too. Overall its a very good product by Skoda which should be a perfect alternative to the new Audi Q7.

clean, elegant and sleek designed car.Design is refreshing and not borrowed from any vehicles.And brawn too.

skoda has its own exquisite interior styling.. always a treat. Majority of manufacturers in india seem to erring ly overlook dat aspect

for 27-35 lakhs it LITERALLY KILLS overrated cars like fortuner and santa fe etc.. ppl in mumbai atleast care only about the badge and buy overpriced cars like idiots. I own the superb and i love skoda

Skodas customer service is not bad per se....see firstly after your free services which maybe 3 i guess... skoda charges in bulk what u wud pay for maruti or honda over a period of months so costwise skoda is like 10% more. Secondly along with timely servicing maintenance of tyres is necessary nowdays in andheri west where i live some guys align tyres for free and some charge for it again itll b little higher than a normal brand. Im telling you skodas service is more costly but its NOT BAD! If u treat the machine badly no amount of service can help you. We dont feel it in maruti or hyundai because those cars are made for our conditions and honestly their drive feel is already on the lower side comparatively so when they depreciate we dont experience problems coz its crude rough engineering. And lastly the only thing which is a major drawback is accidents and insurance....my superb has been in 2 semi major accidents and the cost of repairs even after coverage was a BOMB like a lakh or so. Apart from this its a beautiful car. I would recommend if u can afford the expenditures related with the car THEN ONLY go for it otherwise ull be miserable like hell. Please don't think that since its a premium brand it doesn't require careful handling and since ull get good quality parts their life is longer thats bullshit.

Parth Padia i agree with you.. i own the Skoda Octavia A7 2015 model. Met with a small accident.. slight bumper and headlight were damaged.. bill came to about 60000 here in chandigarh.. otherwise the car is sexy to drive and scores high on practicality..

Ajit Singh not really i own the superb and it all depends on how you maintain the car at your end. we should understand that aaj German cars are made according to German conditions. If you ask me do your service on time align the tyres check engine oil and don't rev it/abuse it in our traffic and you will have no problem at all. the only problem if you meet with an accident then the repairs cost kills your wallet

Parth Padia yes but expensive parts is one thing, expensive services, extremely low resale are many things. Personally also i will buy a toyota or suzuki eyes closed than skoda, or a volkswagen. My brother had an octavia and he was so irritated with his car that he sold it after sometime.

Bro wat r u comparing with what....toyota is not premium and definitely not maruti the whole point of skoda is affordable luxury. What an entry level Mercedes costs is the cost of the top end skoda and personally it gives u everything that 50-60lakhs overpriced thing will give. Obviously when u are comparing skoda to maruti and Toyota and honda your main idea to buying the car is good mileage low maintenance long life basically economic purpose. No ones saying skoda is economic its PREMIUM u buy it if u can afford the maintenance. Ppl who buy a Mercedes/skoda/audi jus out of.passion even if it doesnt suit their budget and den complain about maintenance are hypocritical, they knew what they were getting into!. a person buying an expensive premium car doesn't care about fuel and maintenance. He buys it knowing about its after sales cost because HE CAN AFFORD it. Because with these cars u dont see economic benefits in simple words plz dont be offended "aukaat hai toh kharido, kharidne ke baad ro mat".

This is definitely based on the Audi A3 seeing the features & structure thanks to the VW/Skoda/Audi relationship. A3 costs 35 lacs but this would cost 25. And yea, out of these 100 features mentioned, we will get only 5, similar to the A3.

Car is loaded with extra feature and looking advance in its segment, bt skoda has to do more efforts on customer service because in India it is a competetive environment for skoda.

I wonder how you are allowed to drive there , just curious.

I totally agree. 250 NM just doesn't make sense for that explosive 2.0 TSI engine. A manual is essential which will have significantly higher torque rating, maybe close to 320 NM. Bad power/torque rating for an otherwise hell of a car.

Chirag Deshpande bro whenever a VW group car is launched the indian variants always comes with high price and short in power figures ... the 1.8TSI in GTI,octavia comes with only 250nm ...even the 1.4tsi has 250nm . In global market it's 320nm ... since Skoda used 2.0tsi it sud have more output otherwise it suks

Car looks perfect, but the price may be higher in comparison with xuv, Scorpio, Tucson, crv etc

I believe black interior is the best ! can take a lot of beating unlike beige

Chirag Deshpande my 3.2 is a powerhouse. Step on the gas. You never feel out of more power. Plus try it on sports mode with manual shifting. It's absolutely amazing

The 3rd row seats are simply a waste. Neither are they comfortable nor are they unobtrusive. They eat way the thigh support of the middle row quite a lot. Such a shame!

This is not an all time 7 seater like innova, compared to Fortuner and Endeavor, those rear seats are good enough. Decent for an occasional roadtrip with some kids around. Boot is really good inspite of the 3rd row. Get an innova if you need 3rd row. I have travelled 400 km on really bad roads in the third row of an innova, didn't break the back!

I don't need 3rd row and I wish that these manufacturers would launch 5 seater version of these SUVs for those who don't want that 3rd row. I don't know about you but the 3rd row is not comfortable for adults at least for me, It doesn't even have the adequate thigh support or leg room.

NAVANEETH P your perfectly right bro.... just that these guys need to give u something for the price u pay right bcoz there are many ppl who don't understand SUVs and MUVs. what skoda thinks is "lets sacrifice a portion of boot space to make seats for toddlers"...that way they extend the cars length by 20-30mm and give u these toddler 3rd rows but still ample boot space thus making everyone happy and providing you with the most space possible. Even they know u cant fit adults there but they think wats the harm in providing extra storage to keep plastic bags small suitcases etc... and they turn that into a selling point. XUV500 does the same
