Fuel consumption of the 1.5 TSI Karoq still continues to amaze me. Drove from Ledbury in Herefordshire to Worcester via Malvern on the A449 this morning (which is uphill, down-dale, stop-start driving all the way), but still got 50.3 mpg out of it! From a 150 horse-power beast that propels the thing from 0 to 60 in just over eight seconds! Part of the secret is that whenever it can, it shuts half the engine down and fires on just two pots. If you keep it in third in the 30 mph zones, it's in two-cylinder mode most of the time on flat ground. Incredible engineering, and if I hadn't seen it myself I wouldn't have believed it.

I test drove the Karoq over Xmas - a really, really nice car and better than the Tiguan. The interior is particularly nice with a reactive and intuitive infotainment system.

Are you sure? I haven't seen that reported anywhere; all the motoring press seems to be referring to this as the Yeti replacement. I love our Yeti so hope it's true as this does seem a bit boring.

Tony Sampson According to an article I read that was the info that was officially released by Skoda. That's the reason this car was given a different name. Time will show.

88Sauce Longcross Film Studios. The Studios, once an important M.O.D site with considerable history, have over 200 acres of backlot. There is a 2¼ mile Test Track constantly in use for filming that was once used to test 80 ton army tanks and now is used by prestigious motor cars together with motoring events.

It's the old MOD RARDE site at Longcross in Surrey. You can just about see the entrance from the London-bound M3 past the Lightwater junction

You didn't show the best part about the VarioFlex seats...

I would clearly prefer that car than VW Tiquan or Seat Ateca and any other car in this segment. Looks a little bit boring from the outside but great from the inside and overall this is a very good car

The first bid for someone who is going to evaluate a car is to know the product! Here are several things that go against what many motorists boast about! And most people agree that a liter in a Karoq is a wasteful purchase! And forget a very important point, such as that the entire rear seat row can be removed was not mentioned in one word! BAD revue !!

I believe it's no fun to drive. You put these important considerations first and we'll be on our way, saving us the torture of listening to your oh so important bottle test or Picnic tray review.

Why there is no videos including the interactive cockpit. Thats a shame, because i think many people will buy this feature, The standart speedometer looks just terrible, same as the kodiaq. Why they make it looks so lame i don't know, but car reviewers please do review with car that includes feature that most people was interested in this car in first place. I mean it's first skoda model with it. It's looks like Skoda announced about it, but now are regreting it, because voilkswagen tiguan looks crappier compare with koraq. I don't know but i would love to see that. Please reviewers!! What are you thinking about.

what is wrong with 1.6 diesel?

One advantage the Skoda has over the puggy, It won't throw an engine management light and limp home backwards like all puggies.

I'll close my own hatch, save 600 and one less thing to break.

Skoda used to make 1.9 Diesels (I had one). These days they have 1.6 which actually has a slightly better power output and performs roughly the same.
