Skoda Enyaq iV: Head-Up Display (HUD) with augmented reality in real-life situations :: [100cars]

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Skoda Enyaq iV can be equipped with an innovative head-up display with augmented reality which projects information for the driver onto two different areas. In addition to the current speed and detected traffic signs, information from the assistance systems and navigation instructions can also be displayed on the windscreen just above the dashboard in immediate view of the driver. The larger projection zone for augmented reality is located higher up on the windscreen of Škoda Enyaq iV, still in clear view of the driver. Here, larger symbols such as directional arrows from the navigation system are displayed and virtually projected onto the road ahead. Information relating to Adaptive Lane Assist or Adaptive Cruise Control is also shown here, as are traffic signs and warnings.

Nice demonstration. Very handy indeed! This gives a new different level of safety and driving experience in general...

Nice test! Wish they had room for the guidance on which lane to pick in the HUD as well, and a bit more space for the road names. But it's pretty good all in all.

Nice demonstration! Did you find the HUD easy to see on the windscreen on bright sunny days, or does it become difficult to see? Also are the icons, text, graphics etc actually large enough to see in real life?

Yes, it worked really good during sunny day. Size is also really good, much much bigger comparing to typical HUD.

Hi. Great video. Question... if using android auto/google maps rather than the Skoda Sat Nav, will turn by turn navigation work the same way with the HUD? Thanks

Does HUD support navigation from 3rd party apps like Google Maps or Waze?

I have a question - does this work with car-navigation (built in) only or you it scans for traffic signs and it can run with android nagivation?

The car visibly ping-pongs in the lane. It seems that it does not have an advanced line keeping assist like the ID.4.

Put the camera inside your car, record how you drive, set the playback speed to ~400%, you will see the same "ping-pong"

@@jamespeterson7100 Just to put it in relation to Hyundai's claim of 44" HUD. People wondered if it fills the whole windscreen, but it appears to be the focal size at 7.5 m distance.
