Are you having CSOM which is discharging time to time, then it’s better to get operated. Still, believe the doctor who has examined you. Jai Hind Sir, I had perforated eardrum in my left ear so that I undergone with Tympanoplasty Type 1 surgery and Surgen said that there is no problem in bones or nureons as well. But after surgery my hearing is same ( 60 db ) as it was before surgery. When I discussed this problem with the doctor then they said that when thay are doing my surgery there was no problem in bones but if your hearing is not improved so it may be there is some problem in bones. And he said that I have to undergo for surgery again in which if there will be any problem in the bones then they will fix it otherwise they will stitch it without doing anything. 😢 Please tell me If you can solve this problem. Because I was medical out From NDA because of this problem. And next year I want to appear in CDS ( Combined Defence Services) examination. What should I do ?

If taken proper care is there any chance of infection due to material used to make the piston

Infection from material use is not heard of. But in every Surgery, there is risk of iatrogenic infection because of various reasons.

Presently Dr is going one month leave and he gave me ciprofloxine thrice a day for next 15 days sir and told that if it would not be dry upto 15 days than please eat next 15 days mean for what to dry my ear to check or to operation date not yet clear sir. As you said that after operation the patient can hear normal for decades but still over a period of time the hearing loss is again started.....in such case can we again use the hearing aid in the operated ear.

Very good question. You can always use hearing aid any time. See , hearing aid is just an external tool and can be used anyway.

Hi shubhu! I've osteosclerosis in both ears. I used hearing aid for one year. Life was not so easy with hearing aid. U have to change battery in 2-3 days. U can't sleep properly (if u lay in right or left side position) while using hearing aid bcoz it will sound. If u cover yur ear while using hearing aid it will again sound.

Once i showed it to doctor in BHU he told me it won't be cured and also he told me to put air pressure from inside mouth toward left ear. Sir why he said so. Sir my left ear can't be cured. Sir i can hear the sound with this ear but very little almost 20 percent of that of right ear. What is the problem sir. Can it be cured by surgery. Can you tell me what is problem. Hello Naveen, whatever the information you are giving, this could be a case of adhesive otitis Media. The doctor asked you to practice Valsalva manoeuvre to insufflator middle ear. I was seen by doctor and my PTA report for the left ear is 66.25 and tympanometric type 'A'. Sir my sensorineural hearing is perfect for the left ear. Sir only problem remains in middle ear. One operation was done 30 years back. Working fine. Which hearing aid for the other ear is better? Facing Tinnitus sometimes in cold air in both ears. Hearing loss in 2nd ear is 50%

सर मुझे दोनों कान से कम सुनाई दे रहा था तो right इयर का sgpgi lucknow में ऑपरेशन कराया बहुत अच्छा सुनाई देने लगा पर 3 माह बाद अचानक सुनाई देना बंद हो गया अब तो कभी कभी चक्कर भी आ जाता है और कभी कभी कान में बहुत तेज सरसराहट भी होने लगती है जो बहुत परेशान करती है। मैने एक डॉक्टर साहब को दिखाया तो उन्होंने बताया की पिस्टन जो लगाया गया है हट गया होगा अब फिर से ऑपरेशन कराया जाए या नहीं। PGI lko में तो मना कर दिए।अब क्या करें कान में तेज आवाज और चक्कर से परेशान हो जाता हूं।

Can try a hearing aid even after surgery.

If the operations is successful and necessary precautions are taken after what age the hearing loss again starts.....have seen people of age 75 year with good hearing capacity.

Aap jaisa aapka doctor kah raha hai waise kar sakte hai. Sabse pehle aap apna sunai ka jaanch karaye Uske baad hi pata chalega. Kam se kam bone conduction Audiometry toh karwa lijiye.

Es difícil decir ya que la incidencia es muy baja. La transmisión de genes puede saltarse generaciones, así que no es necesario que tu hijo también tenga otosclerosis.

Same mera bhi है भाई right ear ka operation ho gaya tha 4year पहले left ka bhi bola but abhi tak karaye nahi है but aaj 2 दिन से सुनाई बहुत कम दे रहा है

My 5 month old son has microtia and atresia in both ears😭😭. Is does baha surgery in India?

First recheck your hearing and ensure it is not deteriorating. Then meet with ENT doc who will ascertain causes of vertigo related to stapes surgery and non surgery causes as well.

डॉक्टर साहब मेरे कान के दोनों परदे मे छेद कान की हड्डी भी खराब हो रही है मेरा कान बचपन से बह रहा था आज भी एक कान बहता डाक्टर साहब ने कहा आपरेशन होगा मुझे बहुत डर लग रहा है जो सुनेंगे वो भी ना चला जाये कृपा रास्ता बताया

Can have a second opinion. If both doctors are saying same thing, then go for surgery. Second doctor could be from a govt medical college

Dr bola weight jayada ka saman uthai hogi isiliye haddi apne jajh hil gya h koi Dr bol ta sardi ki wajh se chhink ki wajh se or muhhe ye problem pachpan se n tha 2018 se ho gya uske 2 saal baad hi operation kr wae fir thk n hua

डॉक्टर मेरा right और left दोनो कान बचपण से बहते ते (डिस्चार्ज ) हेअरिंग लॉस बड गया था और earduram को hole पाढा था ज्या तर right ear मे बोन तक रोग फैला था. डॉक्टर ने 1996 right ear का surgery कारवाई. दो महिने मुझे अच्छे सुनाई दे रही थी. लेकिन तीन महिने बाद tinnitus चालू हुवा. आज 25साल हुवा tinnitus है. बहुत सारे ENT डॉक्टर को दिखाया. सब डॉक्टर बोलें की eardrum परदे पिचले हिस्सा (Middle ear का जंजीर )मतलब Stapes निकाल दिया है इसलिये ear लॉस है. डॉक्टर आप से उमीद है की middle ear का restructure stapes लागाके endoscopy surgery हो शकतथा है 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
