Great video and a really great tour. Completed this with a 13 and a 14 year old 2 days ago. We missed 1 lift and 1 slope because I missed a sign. They made me make up for it by going back to the top of Hohe Salve and doing Black 42 and right to the bottom of Soll as my penance. We decided not to film it to save time but we HAD to stop for lunch! Great work.

Thank you. We did The Challenge a few years back. Also made a video. ;) Ithink that the SkiWelt tour is maybe a bit easier, but we were just not organized enough.

what time of the year is best to visit, and is it better to go spontaneously if the forecast says snow, since its so low elevation?

Statistically January (February gets too busy). Elevation is not really a problem in my opinion because they have amazing snow making capabilities. But if you want the white winter wonderland then you have to rely on short-term weather forecast.

@@slovenianstravel I was there once in early march and all of Ellmau was green, too warm for snowmaking. Many valley runs were closed. Meanwhile in high altitude places, conditions were great.

Thanks. It is a recommended tour. The next day we took it easy and I think we took completely different slopes. Will definitely come back again. ;)

@@slovenianstravel You're welcome. So if you have time, try the Tanzer slope (down to Brixen, free Bus needed at the end, natural snow), 111er back from Westendorf to Brixen (best before noon), Fleiding north slope to Talkaser, slopes to Alpenrosenbahn Westendorf (best during noon).
