When you asked him to come and watch how you scribe the skirting and his response was ‘why?!’ I would’ve told him to either F off home or sort his attitude out. You treat him very well from what I’ve seen. He should appreciate it

Can I suggest you just Pasalode the flat part of the skirting and not through the Bullnose. Looks a lot better in my opinion. Keep up the great work . 👍

i know hes young and he will learn ,but there was gaps in the top corners of the architrave thats why he showed no close ups and he obviously caulked them all after

Good video. There's wall to wall carpenters in London and that drives the prices down. What with the congestion charge and ULEZ, my advice is keep out of the place.

The facings if doing on the wall best to do the left or right leg then then the head and finish with the other leg. Or do the head fist then with the legs cut a couple mill longer and spring in giving a tight fit . Fitting both legs then the head you have made the job harder

I enjoyed your video, mate.👍 You probably know, but i use my chopsaw to cut to the scribe to where it needs cutting with the coping saw.👍 Also be a bit careful with working your prices in London, its not always paved in gold. Especially now sunak bugged it up. I am going back15 years certain parts all you was doing was feeding the parking meters😢😢😢 Good luck if you decide to go👍👍

I second that I also use the mitre saw to under cut up to the moulding and I use a jigsaw with a fine cut thin blade to cut the rest. Very quick and easy in fairness.

It’s always difficult to guess/workout time for each job but time brings experience and you will soon be able to judge things more accurately. Don’t be afraid to put in a few decent prices, you need a few well paying jobs. If you have any doubt about the work or even the client, wack the price up! Remember, any fool can work for a loss! If you are thinking about going to London, the biggest challenge is parking so make sure you check it all out, not forgetting all the stupid congestion charges and ULEZ!

Because decent panelling sits either on or behind the skirting.
