Yeah, season 1 and 2 are clearly defined, and 3 is clearly the same tune just performed on different instruments. From series 4 onwards, the theme just gets progressively less defined until its just noise with a few familiar beats to it

Maybe it's a metaphor for growing up, we all had that specific feeling, or spark as kids, which we slowly lose as we grow older

this is so special. It's not even necessarily because of skins itself, it's just the most nostalgic tune I've ever come across, but God this made me miss skins

It is a case of "you never forget your first" in that I really like the first and second gang. But I just finished series 5, and trust me when I say that the third gang is just as well written and worthy of adoration.

I can't. It's 3:00 AM on the east coast and I am crying over series characters that I've gotten too attached with. I cry of nostalgia like I was a part of the gang. Like I went to Maxie's first dance show, Like I help Tony re-learn how to write, like I was there for Jal when She needed someone to confide in, Like I hugged Chris when his mom left, like I kissed Anwar at his 17th birthday, and helped Cassie fight her demons, Like I traveled to New York with Sid to help him find his love, and like I practiced spanish with Michele and Never judged her for her love for Tony.

I'm so in love with Skins, it will always be the best show ever! I laughed, I cried, I shouted, and i LOVED IT! My favourite is Generation 2, but I really love all of them, and I'm totally in love with Chris, Cook, Effy, Maxxie, Naomi, Cassie, Rich and Alo!

I loved how the theme gets messier with each series. S1 had a very clean beat and melody, and by 6 it's all over the place. It's a good representation of the series as a whole

The thing that really gets me is the last little bit in the s1-3 theme songs. It's just perfect and resonated w my soul for some reason

generation 1 and 2 were the best and had the best theme tune

I remember scrolling on Netflix and seeing skins, I only ever saw the mtv version when I was a kid. I was like "should I watch it?" then I just clicked on it to see what it was like and after hearing the theme I was like "fuuuuccckkk I'm watching this now" I already it was gonna be a great series. I love this show so much

3 & 4 are absolutely my favorites

Hearing these always makes me want to scream and smile and bawl my eyes out and laugh and I really don't know why. Skins was just so...different.

skins was the first tv series i got into. i watched the episodes on my cousins ipod but she only had a few episodes of season 3 and it was my favourite season ever until i finally watched every single episode from 1 - 3 back in 2010

So many memories come back when I listen to this... I'm not nearly crying.. I'm okay!

2019 here and I just found Skins... I’ve subtly mentioned it and almost everyone i know has mentioned watching and either loving or not getting into it. Never said they hate it, just that they didn’t like it that much

Hearing the theme music always makes me miss the show...

1 and 2 are my favourites.. turns out they were my favourite seasons aswell :)

Although season 1&2 were my most favorites, or later season 5 again, I like season 3's opening theme the most. It unites the feelings from 1&2 and brings something additional to it. I have it as my phone ringtone since 2012 or so.

This theme always seems to leave me with a sense of longing.

All these kind of takes me back to the polyphonic ringtone era!

i feel like the transition from generation one to generation two was clever with Effy being a secondary character in generation one and becoming a primary character of generation two, therefore linking the generations through Tony and Effy. gen 3 however felt completely random and had no links to gens 1 and 2, which made it harder to watch. wait a few months in between gen 2 and gen 3, and you'll actually get into generation 3 easier

whenever i watch skins on netflix i never skip the theme its the only show that i dont skip the intro because its the best and it shows so much and even after thousands of times of watching skins over and over im still awed by the theme and the intro its amazing

Generation 1 and 2 were the best themes, I don't even know what was going on with Generation 3. I didn't connect with them as much

I love all six of them but I vibe the most with the last three.

No words to add. It's just truly impressed how it brings back so many good memories by just listening to the songs.

Season one and two are sooo soothing and upscale. Season 4 is just -- ineffable... As for Season 5? I love it and even set it as my ringtone and msg sound ~! It feels unique when my phone plays the skin theme songs and to see if everyone around me possess the same emotion towards it.

I'm on the 6th season. You know mostly everyone loves gen 1 and 2 but I do that why they hate gen 3. I think gen 3 is amazing too. Gen 2 is probably my favorite tho.

i love listening how it goes from a simple sound to more complex as it goes on, the difference between the 1st and the 6th seasons theme is very amazing to hear. almost like two completely different songs.
