Skills for squash - Float to target depth

Спорт

Depth is more important then tightness to the wall, you can just miss the wall and it will allow a full racquet face hit on the ball but if you just miss quality depth the shot will still be difficult to return and at least it will take options away from your opponent.
Floating the ball to depth allows you greater control over the outcome of your shot and gives the control to hit the side wall level with your opponent if needed or land it on perfect length.

I have purchased a new camera and mic so the quality will vary depending on the age of the clip all new ones will be perfect but I have over 2000 videos and I am re-editing them and gradually will remake them in better quality. Glad you enjoy them.

The flat shot moves faster through the court though and is harder to volley (but then is easier to retrieve at the back). This float is interesting and perhaps a great option when the opponent is not quite on the T and so dying length is the priority

It is still hit quite hard and the benefit is to guarantee quality depth which is as important as hitting tight. this will give you the ability to limit your opponents options and structure allies rather than trying to win with brute force.

Very useful, thank you. Wondering if there is any particular area on the front wall that one should target in order to get the ideal target depth. Guess probly half way up between the cut line and top boundary ?

You never use a front wall target, as it will vary depending on how hard you hit and how deep your strike point is. Similar to golf you pitch to a position and let the ball run from there so aim where you want to land it on the floor.

When I hit the ball, I lose my balance. What can I do to make it proper?
