    As an Iron that just got their Quest Cape I got to say I love the skilling in the game. Especially runecrafting, these last few years rune crafting has gotten a TON of love.

    Bro the game has evolved. Back in the day there wasnt a single skilling method that would yield 2-3m per hour. Nothing. Chopping yews was actually horrendous gp per hour people just did it because it was easy. So today's skilling methods are actually an improvement on the days of old. Maybe the only high gp skilling method was double nature's but let's fking face it NO SANE MF was actually grinding out 92 RC just to do that. Comparing making sunfire runes to actually completing the colloseum is not a fair comparison. The level of actual game skill it takes to consistently complete the colloseum is far far far greater then the skill it takes to do sunfire runes or theieve from elves etc. Therefore it should have a greater reward. Same thing with pking and risk fighting. The answer is in the name:RISK. you have to be willing to risk hundreds of millions of gp in gear to actually stand a fair chance of pking someone in that gear and it is not consistent. No pkers is consistently finding people who are risking that much. Every Pk video I watch the KZread is always saying how it took them hours or days etc to find these clips and fights. I don't disagree that skilling could use some extra updates to improve money making but it should NOT be anywhere near the level of gp you can make doing PvM or Pvp content that actually takes a high level of game skill. Not just clicking a tree or an elf and calling it a day. Just my 2c

    It really struck me as odd as a newer player that a game that is so heavily defined by skilling, whose combat is also skilling.... Has skilling make no real gold. I agree they need to focus more on it. It's wild to me how bad all the skill capes are. Fletching giving me a grapple and bronze crossbow several times a day???? Make skilling great again.

    I am a few dozen levels off maxing the hcim I made last year and am just now realizing how little content some skills have. I like going for collection logs while skilling and it is rather weird how little some of them have. Construction and smiting for example after completing their corresponding mini game have absolutely nothing.

    For ironman skilling is necessary and I like the progression. Sometimes I will do a slow way to test it out, I don't stick to or follow guides on methods and it's more fun playing the game how you want, not as efficient as you can.

    The money sucks cause they just bring out a boss that drops tons of skilling items. Bosses shouldn't be dropping logs and ore unless it's a skilling boss.

    This is why i loved the Forestry update (after the rework i think its pretty good) it made my like back in the day. Shut out to the magic tree lads in camelot !

    I agree. I think the main problem is, like you mentioned, bosses drop too much resource items in bulk. I think those kinds of drops should be nerfed, and I think more skilling methods could use random drop elements with unique loot.

    Imo they need to add some rare/valuable items to obtain from skilling itself or mini games related to them. Thats what keeps me invested in bossing

    Prayer is my first 99 I just got a week ago, and I spent around 150M - 200M on Superior Dragon Bones. Prayer does NOT cost 40M unless you want much slower XP.

    Jagex just needs to up the profit/hr at 99, like wearing the skillcape gets you more resources, or something. I actually enjoy skilling and would really like this.

    Though skulking is important, I’d probably say you shouldn’t make the same doing more afk based things, things that have associated costs and requirements that span needing many high lvls in various stats. A lvl 3 wood cutter maxed shouldn’t make more than boss slayers.

    In 2009 maybe I did polar kebbit furs at 40-60k/hr for dbow, watched DarkerManz and lost it instanty 😂

    My initial reaction to the title, and you hinted at it once, Bring us Dungeoneering. gave us a reason to train/use every skill in an engaging kindof way, although a little repetitive further down. But what isn't repetitive in OSRS? It could be a copy/paste from rs3 but i would like a reimagining of it. spent too much time there already xd. Could make it profitable with stuff you could buy in dungeoneering shop but as with all buyables, the market would eventually crash. or maybe you could just spend dungeoneering points on raw gold.

    2 choices, buff skilling loot to be a lot more rewarding in the 90's with loot that's better than pvming, fishing for example food that heals say 26 and no boss can drop food healing more than this. OR nerf pvm drops which in game design is never popular to nerf anything. This problem has occured because PVM has gradually rewarded loot that elsewhere people relied on skillers to gather, food, potions etc and let's face it, skilling is no where near as fun as killing bosses.

    .. skilling died when the kraken was released. This was the beginning when killing bosses was faster or more efficient way of gathering raw materials than directly gathering them via skilling. Just look at zulrah.

    Why do people call that a main account. Your iron is your main and this 'normal' is your alt. Normal isnt main by default. Your Main is definitly your iron bro

    They say more effort deserves more reward .... but I find that to be untrue... like Nex is 10m/hr with super low effort.... and Zulrah is only like 2m/hr which requires more effort... even like normal cox or 300 toa is lesser money than nex which takes a lot less effort... The hypocrisy is unbelievable ... Skilling definitely deserves more love.... but more than that the game needs better balancing with resources, money, etc.

    That’s not describing hypocrisy, that would just be inconsistency. More effort = more reward is the entire mantra of the game. 3 tick granite is more effort and more reward (xp) than shooting stars. Same with (most of) PVM. I disagree anyway. Zulrah requires more effort than Nex? You can kill Zulrah with base 75s. Can you kill Nex with base 75s? Part of the “effort” involved is building your account to a high level (time) and acquiring the gear to defeat your chosen boss (more time). Those time sinks are also a metric. And then you’re comparing Nex to a raid with completely different drop mechanics? I just saw a clip of somebody getting a shadow at 150 ToA which you can do with base 80s easy. Is that “hypocrisy?” I agree that some bosses need adjustment. Namely skilling resources like ores & logs shouldn’t be so common, but the balancing is nowhere near as bad as you claim it to be.

    Dude I'm so tired of skilling getting bashed by every KZreadr. They just need to make new worlds where your maxed and can just boss and raide whenever you want. Leave the game alone there's been way too many updates
