Skillet - Whirlwind (Lyrics)

Музыка

Song "Whirlwind" by "Skillet" from album "Hey You, I Love Your Soul".
Enjoy! (Please request more Skillet songs :D )
Lyrics:
Talking to God
Hearing what he wants
He moves in violence
I stand in silence
Who can question You, who can fathom You?
In your presence, who can stand?
Worlds spin around and kings crumble down
There's no escape what Youve planned
Winds approaching, clouds are forming
God in his power
Is swirling around me
Calling me, and you know my name
So jump in or be taken, yea I can't
Run long enough, or go far enough
To escape the screaming rain
It's alright
It's alright
Jump in the whirlwind
I'm letting go [repeat]
My world's at stake
I want to break
Stop the striving
Start the dying
I'm thrown into it
It's so imminent
There's no arguing what You say
I gotta keep fanning it, I keep fanning it
I keep fanning the fire to flames
It's alright
It's alright
Jump in the whirlwind
I'm letting go [repeat twice]
Master and Savior, Sustainer and Creator
You move in power
And winds and thunder
It's alright
It's alright
Jump in the whirlwind
Letting go
Letting go - I'm letting go

Religious people are weird. They'll look at other religious people and be like, "their crazy is crazier than my crazy so that makes me feel better about my crazy."

This pretty much the main issue with Christianity, their hypocrisy, even THE CHRISTIAN HIMSELF (John Cooper) despises it

The first Skillet song I ever heard turned me into a fan back in the day. It was on the WWJD album though and a little different. I loved the version on that album way better.

Is this the same Skillet that does "Monster"? Whirlwind is the Skillet I know, and my younger brothers know the newer Skillet...just wondering if they are the same band.

I thought like you once, that their early songs were more sincere and more resonating with knowing god, but now I feel it also in their newer songs, give them a chance

I know everyone talks about God in every video, but i wanted to say something. Yes God is a beautiful thing to believe in, the idea of love is really good, but sometimes it's just wrong when people fight for his love when he just want us to love each other. Sorry for my english, i'm not very good at it. :) Usro

i think the reason why people think some of the skillet songs are about or can apply to relationships and love is because actually when you believe in god, you are having a relationship with him :) he loves you you know...
