John Cooper is such a great dude! He wrote most of this album,and this is my favorite one by them!

Atelophobia: Fear of not being good enough. Real word. Real phobia.

What i really like about skillet is that their music can target anyone. It doesn't matter if you're Christian or not, but you can still get the message from the music (in this case, that you're perfect the way you are) and you can take the message any way you want! I'm a full on Christian Pentecostal, but sometimes i forget that they are a christian rock band. Thumbs up for Skillet!!

Life has been hard whenever I'm around. My family were unhappy, everyday, whenever I'm with them. And this song, is really related to my everyday lives. No matter when I did any mistakes or didn't I... It's still the same. Blame everything on me. I'm untalented, I'm not even a genius nor have a good personality. Sometimes, I wonder... Why do I still being here? Listen to this song makes me crying again..

It doesn't matter if you're untalented or if you're not a genius, people shouldn't expect you to be perfect, cuz quite honestly, perfect Is nothing more than a lie. I'm the same. Don't let things like that get to you, thinking about how bad things are only makes it worse and unlike how you'd probably think, thinking about it doesn't take stress away. It's good that the song makes you cry, you're human, you're supposed to cry. Crying is a great way of relieving stress. You should try picking up some kind of hobby like drawing, it's what I did after some serious therapy I went through and is very helpful to cope with stress.

Too bad nowadays it's being overshadowed by albums like Unleashed

I feel like this every day... This song may not be much, but when you're in a dark place, even the smallest light can bring salvation.

to those who think being perfect is the only way to be no one is ever perfect no matter how much you believe you are. They're are going to be times where you screw up and that is fine all you can do is move forward and learn from your mistake. (thumbs up if you agree)

I can seriously relate to this FANTASTIC song. It really helped me when I was going through a sort of "depression" kind of phase. I uses to pray asking if I could be someone totally different because I hated myself. This song made me feel loved more and more every time I heard it. Thank you God for having Skillet make this song!!!! It really helps people!!!!! And thank you Skillet for making it!!!!!!

Been a skillet fan for a long time. Came back to this album again today, and all I can say is "wow." The lyrical quality astounds me. Its even greater if you're into the religious aspect of it. Amazing song form an amazing album.

I would like to hear Skillet remaster this song, maybe with a few minor adjustments. It would be interesting to hear it with more modern recording equipment and their increased skill from many more years of performing.

maybe try listening to it in higher than 480p? It was very well mixed and mastered imo but you'll need a decent pair of speakers to hear its full potential

for someone like myself that is so critical on being perfect at what I do, when I fail I tend to be harsh on myself especially, I also try to hold the weight of many on myself... its hard not to be hard on ones self, people need to understand perfection if what you make of it and you only reach a sense of perfection when you accept your limits

I’m so pissed I pretty much overlooked this whole album until recently, turns out this is probably their best album. oh how I wish I had these songs when I was younger and needed to hear them.

sometimes I have these moments of pure sadness... and it just brings me down so much... but I have learned to write a journal and listen to Skillet and things of that genre. it helps me calm down and think before I do something I can not take back... I'm really thankful for my girlfriend who has really been there for me... Jesus rocks! I just wanna say that no matter how many obstacles the devil throws at you, think about what you will achieve when you bring the devil down and bring God up! :D

I met the band in 2005 at my small town high school! John was a lovely guy too; very warm soul! This was before they were huge now!

I need to listen to this every day. Never gets old. Helps me out a lot.

And it would be cool if people stopped arguing on youtube, If you would like to battle people over which religion you think is correct then do it on your own time somewhere else. And as is people don't care nor respect peoples religion 90% of the time. also " Because if it did then what would the people be arguing about huh? " makes no sense, there is a ton of things to argue about with people but one of them shouldn't be religion, if someone believes in something then that's there choice, doesn't effect your life one bit.

ChicagoLivesForeverRespect I can understand not giving a fuck about someones religion but not respecting it and there decision i don't understand. Even if you don't believe in what they believe or understand why they believe it, still doesn't give you the right not to respect there decision. After all it is there life, And not to be mean by pointing this out but you kinda just contradicted yourself. If you don't care one bit but then do care when it's a personal problem then you overall do care, I could say i don't really care about any of this but in some shape or form i do. if i didn't i wouldn't of made my original comment telling others to stop having religion fights. And i understand the need for some cussing due to anger but when every sentence has fuck or fucking in it, its just a bit much.

I really relate to this. I struggle with self loathing. Sometimes I say things that may come off as mean when I don’t want to come off as mean. It’s completely unintentional. I don’t want to cause harm at all or hurt the feelings of someone that I love and care about. What’s difficult for me is to pick up on it in the nick of time and I always get angry with myself once I realize that I could’ve worded it a little differently. But I’m grateful that there is a God over us that loves us all so much and has the full power to help me get past my mistakes and be at work in my life.

Skillet is amazing. They praise God, uplift the hurting, remind us to be humble, spread the Word, and wrap it all up in awesome music that everyone can listen to. Thank God for Skillet!

Honestly looking back at songs like this and looking at their recent stuff… the lyrics back then had a lot of meaning. Their new stuff just doesn’t hit like Collide did. But yet it’s getting more attention… and yeah, I don’t wanna be another one of those people using an opportunity to hate on their new music… and I’m not hating it. From a musical standpoint, it’s nice to listen to their new stuff. But that’s the thing. It’s just… nice for when you want to enjoy a song. Their old stuff really inspired me to make a change in my life, but their newer stuff just doesn’t hit the same way. Am I making any sense? Probably not.

At the very least know that other people have been in similar situations as you.Try your best to be as objective about your situation as possible and if you can't then don't blame yourself either. actually none of us can handle the test, that's why Jesus was sent here to die in our place and pay for our forgiveness, so that we can be made right with God, even if we don't pass the test of righteousness on our own it's God's righteousness in Jesus that passes the test for us. All we have to do is accept it by faith ask Him to save us and confess that we are not good enough on our own and then turn to follow Him instead of live for ourselves or in sin. I just didn't know if you knew that already, sorry if it was redundant brah, thanks for the earlier post.

We became imperfect creatures after Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden. However, God is abundant in grace. He loved you before the creation of the world. He wants everyone to repent & seek him. He's the only answer to your emptiness inside you. Money, sex, drugs etc. doesn't give long-term satisfaction. God is amazing if you give him a chance. But most people blame God instead of satan so they never heal. So sad.
