I bought a new SVL 75-3 about three months ago, and I have to say that it probably addresses all the complaints with the -2 in this video. Backup cam is now standard, keyless start (PIN), the cab is fully sealed now (so much quieter and cleaner), it has additional torque and the hydraulics have been upgraded so that you don't get the power lag when both moving and lifting. Oh, and that stupid washer reservoir isn't looming above your shoulder anymore either. It was maybe $3k more than the 75-2 price in this video, but still at least $15k cheaper than the CAT and Deere equivalents, at least here in Montana. Lastly, I do a lot of (solo) work that requires jumping in and out of the loader frequently, and not having to worry about whether the boom is "low enough" to clear the door is a huge time saver. Oh, and the new cab is a lot sturdier, so you can drive around with the door up and it doesn't make a huge racket like on 75-2. Just adding my two cents!

I have used all 3 machines and i agree with your assessment. In ny opinion the cat has better balance but less comfort and less visibility

I might be wrong but I wanna say in the long run, Kubota might be cheaper to maintain because they make a lot of their own parts which makes them cheaper

@rontopping2048 10k might not be alot of money but for a maintenance item on a skid steer, that's pretty steep

The best skid steer is the one you can get the fastest local support for so there’s little downtime 👍

2023 Svl75-3 has everything the cat does and is 75k for standard flow. Low mine makes the svl75-2 seem like a 30 year old machine.

When you demo a machine the dealer tends to put smaller buckets on to make the machine feel stronger. So yes a bucket does matter. Kubota uses a hydraulic over hydraulic joystick which is far superior than electric over hydraulic.

The Kubota is cheaper in price, parts & maintenance over the life of the machine. As a contractor, the bottom line always puts more money in your pocket at the end of the day. Best of luck, Guys!

The cats engine is a kubota engine actually the same one that is in that kubota skid steer I believe. The deference is pumps cat runs a dual pump. Also you can get too the def on the cat by just pulling the cooling pak out.

I will never buy a skid steer with an enclosed cab that isn't a kubota or takeuchi because of the doors. They are much more convinent and far safer than a swing out door. And Kubota and Takeuchi make pretty awesome machines. I've run both machines you're showing there and even if they both had the roll up door I'd take the kubota any day of the week. It's way easier to operate and service, and a lot cheaper to maintain.

We tried Cat, Case, Bobcat, Tach, and Kubota. We went with an SVL75-3. We are more than pleased with it. It is the best machine I have ever run, easy to fix any issues, and has plenty of torque and power. It was $79k as most dealers are putting all the upgrades on them from what we saw but it was worth the investment.

Kubota is good for heavy construction , just digging and moving dirt, backfilling . Cat is good for fine grading, landscaping, comfort. Everyday use . Cat has a kubota engine with cat components.

The new updated 75-3 is a lot better. Leds, backup camera, radiator swings out, better cab. I’m pretty sure cat buys kubota engines as well. The door and 15k cheaper would do it for me

I bought a SVL90 at less than 600 hours it self destructed. This machine had all the proper maintenance done at the dealer. Almost $16000 worth of hydraulic repairs. I will NEVER own another Kubota. I now have a Cat 259d3. I would put this 75 hp machine up against a Kubota any day. Smother ride, better control response, quieter, all around superior machine!
