Sketchbook Tour
Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!
I filled another sketchbook! I draw every day. I prioritise it because it helps me developing my skills and to keep the creative juices going. It makes for a wonderful habit and pages filled with memories. But above all, drawing makes me happy.
I want this for you too. So in today's video, I give you tips and ideas for your sketchbook practice, and how to squeeze some drawing time into your day, even if you think it's impossible. Whether it's an urban sketch, a drawing of your feet on the couch, or a quick doodle... you'll feel better for allowing yourself the time to draw.
In today's tour, I show you pages from the workshop I taught in Germany. If you'd like to take an in-person workshop with me, check out this page on my website: www.koosjekoene.com/workshops
Also, make sure to subscribe to my email newsletter, so you'll be the first to know when a new workshop is added to my calendar!

Loved the spoon selfie s Birdy
I love that you draw with your dad Koosje! I'd love to draw more with my family members!

I love the freedom of your drawings. I am so tight with my drawings and I can't seem to let go of the tightness and do the fun.

Try drawing with your non-dominant hand and see what happens!
So enjoyable to watch! ❤

omg I LOVED IT TOO MUCH
Lovely. I get some great ideas just looking through your sketchbook with you. ❤

Thank you Albertine!
I'm amazed by how much your art communicates with such time and mark economy and efficiency. You don't overwork - I do - how do you stop fussing at just the right time - what a skill!

When it starts to feel like fussing, you know that's your stopping point.
As a busy mom of three, I love the emphasis on drawing daily even if you don't have time. This was a great video. Thanks for the encouragement. Also, I love the way you draw vehicles. The excavator turned out beautiful!

Thanks for the advise. I was so sick yesterday with the flu but just drawing even though it was only a quick 10 min sketch got my mind off it and feel slightly better ❤

Hi Koosje ! What a delightful Sketchbook ! So many different styles and subjects yet they all are lovely in their own way ! Thank you for sharing ! I have FINALLY managed to purchase a Sailor Fude nib pen from Spain !! I cannot stop drawing with it 😁!! It was YOU who introduced me to it and for that I am ever so grateful ! It makes so many different lines and can be so expressive in drawing ! Well, a big Thank You once again ! Warmest regards ...Lorraine 🤗🥰🎨

It's wonderful how much joy a pen can give!
Loved this one! Well, I really love all of them, but the idea of everyone drawing in every other person's book is just enchanting. I teach spinning in Adult Ed and now I am thinking that it would be fun to spin a little bit of yarn on everyone else's wheel! Bless you, Koosje!!

7:37 not something you tend to sketch, even tho it has really interesting lines and shapes😀
Hi Koosje! What did you use for the train portraits at 12:28? (please and thank you) They look really cool with all the different colors in one line 😮🌈

I used a "magic Pencil" from Koh-I-Noor. Also known as a rainbow pencil. The lead consists of several colors so you get a really fun effect. A few years ago, I made a video using these pencils: kzread.info/dash/bejne/n62fxMWpd9enZdY.html

Oh wow! I would love sketching that mobile in person.
Question, what do you do with all the built up sketchbooks? How do you create space for storage of them all. I struggle with limited space. Do you ever throw some away eventually to make space for new ones?
@KoosjeKoene
Жыл бұрын
I have them stacked on shelves. For now. When I run out of shelving space, I'll think of what to do.
