Hey everyone :)
I'm back with a little sketchbook spread of some ballpoint drawings I created last week! I've currently been working in my sketchbooks in between commission work, and tackling the 100 Heads in 10 Days Challenge by Ahmed Aldoori.
While I can't complete it during 10 days, I'm still limiting my time to create portraits and fitting some in my day when I can!
I've really been loving this challenge as it's a chance to work in pens and pencils and experiment! I'm mostly oil painting these days so it's been nice to sketch in ballpoint and try a bit of watercolour.
I'm currently on my 57th head and fingers crossed I can finish the challenge by the end of the month and I'll have a full sketchbook flip through!
These are two heads that were on the Pinterest board and because it's the same statue but different angles, I thought it'd be lovely to have them both on the same spread!
For this sketch I used graphite pencil and then the Bic 4 in 1 ballpoint pen. I seriously love using that pen for sketching and I've bought a couple other Bic pens in different colours, as I just think they're so smooth and great tools to work with!
