ABOUT BRING THE FUNNY
NBC's proud comedy legacy, which has opened doors for countless comedians, is ready to "Bring the Funny" with a new competition series for the next generation of comedy lovers. The series will feature the world's best comedic acts and, for the first time on television, embrace every style of comedy performance in one competition.
The 10-episode series will bring together some of the most prolific comedians in the industry to serve as judges - "Saturday Night Live"'s longest-running cast member, Kenan Thompson, cultural tastemaker Chrissy Teigen and comedy icon Jeff Foxworthy. Comedian Amanda Seales will serve as host for the competition.
In partnership with the international organization Just for Laughs, which has given rise to some of today's most successful comedic acts via its iconic festivals, tours and television series, "Bring the Funny" will feature the best of the best stand-ups, sketch troupes and comedic variety acts. From solo comics to sketch troupes to musicians, magicians, podcasters, puppeteers, KZreadrs and more - anyone who can make audiences laugh will have the chance to receive the career-changing $250,000 prize package and see their name in lights in the "Bring the Funny" showcase.
David Friedman and Matilda Zoltowski will executive produce. Just for Laughs President Bruce Hills serves as consulting producer. The series will be produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio.

When the robot came out, I was like, "I wonder if that's Elliot or Joe?" And then it started dancing, and I was like, "Oh, definitely Joe. Yup, Joe."

Ahhh!!! A DB bit performed by the VF on national TV!!!! I've waited my whole life for this!!!!
This is MY kind of humor!!!!!! Waaaaaaaaay out there - but hilarious!!! Not everyone can be bizarre AND funny, but these guys were spot-on! And then "Serling" came out and ended it perfectly! I was so scared the judges were going to blow it like judges tend to do - but lo and behold, that chick and Foxworthy DID THE RIGHT THING and overruled Kenan!!! I was sweating all the way through that stupid commercial break at such a crucial tie-breaking moment! Now I can sleep easy tonight and worry about that window-breaking sound I just heard in the morning...

The fact the line is repeated makes it lose meaning, but Joe's physicality of dancing and taunting with it is pure magic. Then him having to take a beat to make sure he was on his mark before kicking the table was outstanding.
Somebody needs to make Kenan Thompson's fake laugh a meme

Finally, Joe’s physicality is being unleashed for all to see, admire and be just a little afraid of.
That was so funny....had to sit up to keep from choking from pure laughter. The dancing alone,. LMAO

A sketch on SNL last week ended the exact same way. With Kenan playing the Jim Sterling/ Jordan Peele narrator. I'm not saying he tried to vote them out, then stole one of their sketch ideas. But that is what happened lol whether it was intentional or a coincidence, idk.

The freeze frame was AMAZING
I love the valleyfolks act. I was laughing just as hard as Chrissy. I honestly thought the robot said “Your husband is gay” at first which made it funnier.
