    We skaters can always brake. You are wrong only about this because skates can be used to slow down. If you state that his speed is illegal or braking is inefficient, I would say that you are right.

    its always you can break by making it as steps or finally you can do slide if necessary and you have special wheels can slide with higher speeds

    the only literal brake in inline skate is the heel brake. brake itself considered as technique such as T stop/brake, sliding, powerstop, powerslide, magic slide, parallel slide, etc. the most easiest and noob friendly way brake is butt brake. when you fall behind and using your butt to brake.

    You need to keep working on your technique. Weight lifting is beneficial. Your elevation, wind speed, barometric pressure, road conditions etc all play a part. Remember, these guys do extreme training and have probably been competing since children. So it may not be fair to compare yourself to them.

  • @taven2164

    @taven2164

    Brakes are typically more dangerous then helpful as they throw you off balance, provide minimal stopping power, and removed wheels from the ground providing less contact points to the ground and more potential for a fall. At this speed, honestly, don't fall is the correct answer here. I would expect him to ditch it off the road and stay standing as long as he could through the dirt and allow the ground to break his fall instead of the road.

    I think it is about being very good at double-push + have very powerful main strokes while being able to still keep up higher skating frequency + skating on large wheel setups like 4 x 110mm or 3 x 125mm + having really good/fast bearings in them :) But I also asked Felix about this in one of his comment sections about this because I am intrigued to know and my personal best is only around 55 km/h thus far (straight surface, almost now wind, without any bike/car in front).
