Berliner Halbmarathon 2024 Full Race Coverage Skating - Inside the pack

Also this year I started my 2024 season with the Berliner Halbmarathon. On top of the usual nerves after a long and hard winter I’ve decided to make thing even a bit more complicated by finally putting an idea I’ve had for a while into reality. Basically wear a camera attached to my helmet and give you “live” pictures right out of the head of the pack. Being fully aware that the extra weight and suboptimal aerodynamic are not ideal purely from a performance point of view. I hope that those clips, paired with my GPS and Heartrate data will give you a great insight into what happens in those races.
Please let me know what you think and how this could be improved going forward.

Yes! Amazing! It's super insightful to see how you skate, and also: how on earth does your heart rate remain so low? :o If I could make a crazy wish, some sort of commentary about why you did what (like some from Pascal Briand) would be awesome! That said, it's a tremendous additional work and you've already got a job and family. I wouldn't be able to do it, to be honest. 😁 In any case, great idea with the video, thank you very much! Uh, oh, you asked about who next... Bart? 😁
Regarding improvement, I would like to hear a mix of music and race-sound - windsound-reduction included. That would make it more real. To hear the fans and of course the athletes. 😊

Thanks for the input! Unfortunately the camera I use has it’s limitations. I know sound quality is quite low…
My phone consumed more battery when you got out of the draft.
vielleicht wären ein paar Voice over im nachhinein noch interessant.... so als Kommentar......
Two things. Draft generated by camera costed you that win. (Well cyclist counts every gram of equipment ;-) Second thing - how you train to be ready for cobblestones? Brandenburger Tor is quite flat, but that on Windscheidstrasse - ghrrr. Pure terror.
