That's very true. Malaysia have really good skaters but is a bit under the radar, Thailand, Indonesia and Philippines got better exposure. Maybe it's a Malaysian thing, we're just happy to go about with our own way quietly.

Quite ironic Philippines got better exposure when we only have like 3 proper skate park. Government doesn't support this stuff. Malaysia skate scene is doing better.

Hie from penang here Been skating since 1995 Broken elbow on quarter pipe in penang Had surgery and a screw Still skating thou even a bit phobic on big tricks Happy to see many malaysian skaters progress this far as facilities are all around to train and skate And glad seeings you having fun with them Good support from the gov When i was skating in the 90's Its hard even to make your own ramp or even a fun box. It will be taken away by the local authorities Been skating with padin and some frienda at komtar in the 90's Use to have a mini diy park on perangin road And now the place is just left memories Keep up bro

Kiara skate park has been build for pro skaters. You need guts and talent to hit the floor there 😂. Those kid were anazing talented. They are the new generation. I'm not into skate, too old perhaps but my younger brother, still enjoying skate at 36 y.o in Shah Alam. In 90's he's about the same age those kid.

Not sure if you have gone before, but if you ever happen to come back to malaysia you need to check out Putrajaya Challenge Park, i think thats the biggest skate park next to shah alam (?) n the community there is the best ❤ there's also one in Bukit Jalil but idk much abt it I haven't skated there before

It has nothing to do with the country but with the skate culture. In my country we have many skateparks some of them have really great skaters and some,like my local skatepark skaters can't develop because the city sees it as a kindergarten and not as a skatepark so our local skaters can't grow because of idiot policy.
