Can you still pop pretty high on low trucks? I’m afraid of losing pop because I tend to feel more comfortable on a board that has say 50mm height like a thunder 147 or a venture low.

You can still pop high. Just have to lift up your legs higher and maybe change your timing on the pop

Are those low trucks fitted to your board? If so what brand and wheel size?

I ride a 8.25 with thunder 148. 52mm wheels

Thunder dont make a low truck anymore but their standards are mid range height at 52mm

I have a pair of old Thunder lows and they are 48mm tall just like venture 5.25. the versions with forged base plate is 1.5mm lower

Do you use risers ?
