@YouraWizurdHarry I agree there should be 2 age divisions though. Although I can not agree to judging people differently in a tournament. It's to late for that they have to judge everyone equal at this point

I can understand where the salt comes from. Gomes choice is nothing I would call especially spectacular. But landing backside the way he does is hard af because you can't see where you are going to land. Thats the reason why hardly anyone else does it. Let alone twice in a row. That tricks are judged by how hard they are shouldn't be a surprise.

It is so incredibly demanding in terms of skill and experience and these little kids already not just have those skills : they stand out on a global level. Just crazy.

@@lukehurtig5812 You need to understand the scoring. You get 50 pts for the ramp then 50 for the quarter. Sure the kid did a 900, and was rewarded handsomely for it, but his first BS 360 over the small gap did not get him many points. Gomes got a ton of points for that FS 360 and then a solid score for the 360 to fakie. 94 was certainly high, but the correct people won their respective medals.

Why do they also score the skaters on how high up they go? Surely that's not that controllable since it's due to weight etc so it's not very fair?? Can anyone explain lol
