At this point it's disrespectful, and is probably hurting his career. They low balled Shane badly as they often do as well.

they really scored felipe mota harshly on his line i feltlike that should have been an 8.7 or 8.8

Rumble is actually really good, this guy is just trippen. No real reason given reason just complaining, that won’t convince anyone. I like it that rumble has little ads and not as much content moderation.

i like how the youngins grab their board between trick but all the ogs carry lines. No shade to either but its nice to see the judges recognize the different flow patterns and not hold it against them

7.9 for Shanes run, huh? I feel like if Gustavo Ribiero did the same run he would have gotten a 9.5. Shane barely ever gets a full run in. At least give the man a proper score. I really think it’s time for some concrete scoring criteria to be published and available on the internet.

As much as I love Yuto because he's a beast I don't like that's he always looks sort of emotionless, he ended nº1 and his face while leaving was worst that any other contestant that finished last, come on man, and the "he's japanese" is not an excuse by any means, look on the other hand Kionosuke or many other japanese skaters in contests.

Can anybody fill me in on why SLS is seemingly decaying? My best guess is that it's not being played by the big networks or streaming services. I thought the skateboarding culture has reached across more demographics than it ever has.

He was attempting a hurricane i think and missed and ended up in boardslide for his last trick which he did in his run section on that rail. They deemed it as same trick on same obstacle which u get a 0 for. Same thing happened to pamela rosa in a contest last yr. During the next group they mentioned that they overruled filipe’s score to a 0.

I agree, but part of me is happy for the guy to be one of the few skaters that still gets to make some money doing what he loves. It's unfortunately a rarely rewarding long-term career choice, even with the opportunity of transitioning to the business side of skating. Strictly as a viewer, I agree with you. Imagining myself in his shoes, more power to him.

they need to tailor the length of the run section to each park, this park needed like 50 seconds instead of 45 everyone wasn't making their final trick

2:02:18 wtf? What happened to Felipe Mota is very controversial I understand that technically they probably did had a rule where a repeated trick equals to zero. But let's use common sense, it was done for entertainment purposes so that skaters are forced to show a bigger diversity of tricks. That's totally a good idea But here we have an obviously accidental repeated trick. Felipe wasn't trying to cheat the system by intentionally doing a trick that he already made in his run. He also did a very brave thing of trying a hard trick where he only needed a very small score to get to the first place. Does he get rewarded for his sportsmanship? Nope, he gets punished! I thing his score of his accidental trick should've be docked significantly, but it should have been a non-zero score which should've put him in the first place. He did deserve it by skating and landing highly scoring tricks! This decision by the judges is a very bad one and I hope they update the rules. Accidentally repeated trick should get a low score, but not a zero score.

Cannon unknowingly did Dom Walker dirty with that interview. While I don't necessarily like that announcer, I can't really blame him for being confused about the ever-changing rules. I hope this competition recovers from the trainwreck that it's become. I don't think that bashing on it is the answer.
