Wow that is what I remember for the early 80s street skating for sure. Emulating pool skating. And hazard plants! Great video.

Pedro, this isn't Steve's home movie, it's mine. It was shot in 1981 all over San Jose mostly. This is when there were only a handful of skateboarders left including Jon Insco, Corey O'Brien (my brother), Graeme Pattison, and Stevie. We all skated together every day so I filmed this for a high school art project. Now you know.

The Scurbs this was our Turf . San Jose , Ca. A Strong. Hold. If the Cops came Cruzing through Jon Insco house was across the Street. And. Into his Back yatd. It felt so good to beat them. Skateboarding was a crime. Awesome times but bittersweet. No drug's no alcohol.

How's that pool. Looked so good dood. Like a mini upland... Better! Steave is so damn smoothe.

San Jose did what other Skateboard stronghold could not do

i moved from Seattle to San Jose solo with my board and a few hundred dollars in 1987. Great place to skate.

The Punk pool this Board ed. Up old apartment Building in S.J.CA. 1981/82. 9TH ST. WAS BETTER THAN MOST SKATEPARK POOLS . at this time in S.J. there was maybe 50 hardcore Skateboarders left in all of Santaclara County. For the most part the General Public hated us.
