Besides the Milano Centrale train station and Giorgio Zattonni, there probably is not much the general skate public knows about Italian skateboarding. We first arrived in Rome and were promptly taken to their new skate park located across the street from Cinecitta Studios, just about every skater in Rome was there because who can resist a fresh concrete park. We had a chance to talk with Ale Martoriati and Alessandro Gargiulo about being a skater and sticking with it in football crazed Rome. On the way up to Milan we stopped in Savarna to meet up with Giorgio Zattonni, Italys first international pro, to talk a little bit about his personal history. Milan was the next destination, and we got a chance to skate with Max Bonassi, the recognized father of Italian skateboarding. Along with his long time friend, and important skater in his own right, Claudio Bernardini they run Bastard Clothing. The building that Bastard is housed in is old movie theatre outfitted with one of the most beautiful wooden bowls that hangs over the whole office. These might not be the most well know people in global skateboard history, but they certainly are some of the most die hard.

its true...in marche we have luca cresting...there are some skateparks but they suk but the street spots are amazing

i remember living in milan and use to see all the skaters in front of centrale. I always wished i had my board to skate with them. great video

Il skate in Italia è piccolo,dobbiamo fare crescere,io sono Brasiliano e abito qua a Italia da 1 anno,faccio lo skateboard da quando avevo 7 anni,e dove abito nessuno usa lo skateboard😂,solo in citta grande come roma,milano

In all South of Italy does not exsist skate parks or places Like that. Only in the north of Italy you could see few. In this country the only popular sport is the fuckin' football.

Less parks... but some of the best Italians parks are located in Southern Italy, Rome, Puglia L'aquila Molfetta, Massafra etc. My personal experience ,,, i admit, North Italy is better anyway, for skateboarding
patrick o dell: keep up the good work brother. its so cool to see how universal skateboarding has become. its so positive and seems to literally be one of the only things in the entire world that is immune to corruption.. no matter how much money it generates, the soul of a skater is always down to earth.

You have to take a look at the PLATZA Skatepark in Bolzano North Italy! it´s a new park but it´s one of the best in Italy.

Im from malta and I have no opportunities to get sponsored and build a career off skating what so ever. There is only one small skatepark here, skate spots and people rarely skate and who does, does it jokingly. Even at the skatepark, there are just people with bmxs and you rarely find skaters like me
