Chris Joslin "No Hope" Madness

Спорт

Just a little behind the scenes with Chris Joslin, one of the best dudes on the board.
All of his No Hope Part was filmed while he was filming for the Plan B video and even before that.
Glad I was able film these gnarly tricks.
Peep the full video if you have not seen it yet.
Watch, Skate, and Repeat.

Anyone reading this; falling correctly is not something you just read about and know how to do. It probably took years and years of practice for him to know how to fall, and, or, kick the board out from under him. Another thing is, if you just watch how other people fall, and look at how they do it from how they lead their fall, to how they flow through it, you can learn a lot. I hope all of you fellow skaters pick up on how to fall, and avoid injury because I’ve been there, and it sucks. Good luck, wear a helmet if you think you should, and have fun.

Josh Smith dude stick at it. I started skating in 1985 when things were a lil easier to learn I'm 43 now and loved every second on my board. But the key is balls of steel no fear and commitment. Skateboarding is constant progression there is no end to it all.the joy of learning something new mastering it then styling it out . It's unique. But also remember cruising ripping the place up having fun just doing the basics is just as important. Don't get caught up with can and cants. Love your board love yourself and always have fun and skateboarding will bring you many years of sheer enjoyment. Skate or die

That was beautiful to watch. I think anyone with ambitions to be a professional in any sport should watch this and actually take the right lessons from it. This is what it takes to be at the highest level of something. Pain, work, dedication, obsession, courage, commitment. I have trouble committing to dinner plans, meanwhile Chris Joslin is committing to a trick that could kill him if he even once can't hold his neck rigid, can't keep his head off the ground, can't stop an ankle roll, and he does this multiple times a day, all year long. That is a professional, and my respect is absolute.

i skated a lot of gaps when i was young (15-20 years old)! Luckily i stopped that because of an ankle injury and got more into manuals and ledge skating. I am 36 years now and feel the damage what i did to my body (skated for 26 years with breaks) but it was all worth the pain. Now i am more into Mountainbiking and the suspension prevents my joints from damage. 2 years ago i got back into skating after a 4 years break and really appreciated that time on the board. Now my body tells me to stop and do some other sports. Maybe i will go back but i dont know. I miss it really much! ): Chris Joslin and Andrew Reynolds are the best gap/stair riders ever. There is NO money in skateboarding unless you get so popular you can build a brand. Even Nike doesn't give out big shoe deals for skaters aside from Nyjah and other top 25 competition guys. A lot of kids get blinded by the occasional $10,000 competition 1st prizes. -Money which is still not enough to live on for the year. For most skaters it's just a love of skating. Free decks are a blessing!

gabelogan56 Uhh this is a new age. If you get popular on social media you can literally sell 20 dollar tickets to a local skate park and have skate sessions. Sign a few boards take a few pictures, skate the park and make a few thousand bucks every weekend. Throw your name on some merchandise and it's easily a good living. Nowadays anyone can be Chad Muska if you got style, tricks and marketing.
